Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

I am scheduled to have my sleeve done on October 6th (started the process on March 1st, 2015.) I'd love to have a "surgery buddy" who is having the procedure the same day or very close to the date. Anyone interested?

6 days Post op..having my first hard day. Nothing seems to want to go down and I woke up with a metal taste in my mouth..other than that I feel good

You are gonna call your Doc, right?

I called Dr..they want me to do gatorade only rest of day and see how I feel in morning..I may have gotten pouch too full. I am diabetic and have to eat every few hours. I am back at work for a few hours a day so I am going home to rest and start drinking..lol

Thanks for the update, ABS - we were worried.

Rdub what dr did your surgery?

Marcia I had an acute heart attack 1.5 years ago and my insurance approved my WLS. They want to make sure your heart can tolerate the surgery. You should be ok

I feel much better tonight..

Marcia hang in there things are going to be ok.

And so glad your doing better

I did today. Clearance for anything as long as I'm not hurting. Day 6!

Woohoo! Full liquid meal plan begins today!

Cream of Wheat, here I come!

All I can do is V8 and cream soups. I have another two weeks until I get cream of wheat. Lucky dude!

I am losing a pound a day

It kind of blows me away to see the wide variety of pre- and post-op food plans that different doctors/systems require. I'm doing it the Kaiser way, which seemed really restrictive until I hear your story!

Hey, it's me. Surgery October 5th. I found it to be much more painful than I expected. But finally feeling better. Started walking. I am on clear liquids and shakes still. I am not getting 64 ounces fluids in yet but getting 70gm of protein.i am a bit constipated hopefully the walking will help. I haven't gotten on the scale yet and probably won't until Dr appointment next week. I am afraid I won't have lost anything cause nothing else has worked. I know that it's not logical. How about all of you. Have you lost and how much since surgery?

Welcome @Ragedddy.

I was sleeved 10/7.

I am following a 0-3 day clear liquid and now 4-14 day all liquid diet.

On surgery day, I was 196.

Today I am 189.

YMMV.

Hi @Raggedy. I was sleeved on 10/6. I did one week clear liquids and today start a full liquid plan. I have lost 10 lbs since surgery day. Good luck!
