I'm going to New York on 7/9 and plan on having a glass of wine. I think you're supposed to wait a year. Everything has agreed with my sleeve so I'm not anticipating any issues.

I haven't even tried any alcohol yet. I want too but I think if you wanna try it then do it. As long as your past the point of having a leak then it should be okay.

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been a while since I checked in. Things are going well. I have been busy with the kids and counting down their return to school. Weight loss is going well. I'm down to 183 and feeling great. I am going to start boot camp on 8/17. I haven't done any strenuous exercise, only walking, so I anticipate some body changes and weight loss to follow.

My food is about 900 calories a day. Protein 90 g, Carbs 56 g, Fats 35 g

My clothing is almost nothing because I have shrunk out of everything. I have gone down from an 18/20 to a 14 and a 1X/2X top to a L. I am going to check out consignment and Goodwill for some work pants.

Nothing seems to bother my sleeve food wise.

Hope things are going well for you guys.

Tssiemer hope you're feeling better.

I'm doing well! Down about 70lbs, feeling amazing, physically and mentally. My hair is falling out in handfuls, but other than that, I can't complain. Those first two months were rough, but worth it.

@@bcostasbiggs how many months are you? I'm 3 months and just started losing hair. Not handfuls but a noticeable amount.

Three months. I was sleeved on 4/22. I just started noticing it was bad in the last week or two. I'm thinking pixie cut. :)

@@Tssiemer1 - Ugh I just saw your post. Cdiff ain't no joke. Hope you're better.

I had a follow up appointment today with Ivan. Things are going great I'm down to 176, 26 pounds until my first goal. I thought I was losing pretty slow but Ivan was pleased with my progress. I did labs and everything is in the normal range. Labs are better than what they were pre-surgery. Hope every one is doing great.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
