oh YEAH @@undeserving777, I literally thought they pulled my arms out of my sockets of my shoulders i hurt so bad. I used ice, heat and ointments and nothing helped. It was the gas slowly seeping out of my body and it just so happens to come out the shoulders. mine took about 3-4 weeks of finally leaving my body but don't worry. i was afraid they ruined my shoulders, lol. gas-x didn't help, Water didn't help, pain pills didn't help. The dr just said it has to slowly leave your body.

so sorry your going through this too, i know it's rough but it DOES get better

Walking should help sometimes too just to get it moving. Move more. Hope it gets better soon!

I agree, it is probably gas. Who knew gas could be so painful! Would be so much easier if it was just a fart! Walk, walk, and more walk. It can't escape through your intestinal tract, and slowly has to leave your body through metabolism and evaporation. The more you walk, the faster it will go away. I had to walk for 5 minutes, then go lie down for a while, then walk more.....etc. I felt so awful, I had to fight with myself to make myself walk, but I did it because they told me that was the only thing that would help the pain. It does get better. Hope you are feeling better soon!

I had my surgery 5 days ago and the 2nd day after surgery the shoulder pain was killing me, I was crying and couldn't even sit down... The doctor said only walking and moving could help so I made myself stroll... I did get better after a day or so, and now it's not realy bothering me that much. It can still be quite uncomfortable though... hope it will go away along with the pounds. :)

Had my surgery last Friday and I'm experiencing the same pain. Dr. Said its just gas and it will go away in time. In the meantime to help ease the pain I put rice in a sock tied it at the end and heated it in the microwave. It helps ease the pain a bit with the warm dry compression.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
