I'm from NY and yourself! And yes -- let us keep in contact! I think I'm more excited than anything.

Hey everyone! I'm halfway through my mandatory preop classes. It's taking forever! Lol. I'm so ready. Not doing great with the mandatory preop weight loss. Also, nervous about the psych evaluation! Trying to get everything scheduled. I really want my surgery by January! 6 more weeks of preop classes to go and all of the testing. *cross fingers *

It seems like it takes forever. I have my last Nut visit on the 13th then I meet with the surgeon and its submitted to the insurance company. I'm hoping for early December. I'm down about 5 lbs which is not much but there hasn't been a gain so that's all that matters. I'm so nervous, scared and ready. It's like a roller coaster.

I'm hoping for a December surgery date, but possibly January. My last NUT visit is November 30th. All pre-op testing should be completed by nov. 11th!

Congrats on yr January date. I have scheduled my surgery on January 12th. My preoperative class is November 18th. I asked my dietitian for a trial pre surgery list. My greatest fear is that I will not follow thru on my liquids. 64 Oz of water! But I have been staying with on task since my appt.10-28. My sister gifted to me her old fitbit. Counting my calories on fitbit and myfitneeepal make my life easier. Well gotta go 16 Oz of Water to go before bed. Keep strong all the best to you.

Beck Gal, congrats on your date!

My insurance requires 6-month diet before surgery, so my pre-op educational class will be in December and surgery some time in January (gastric sleeve). Nervous. Super nervous I'll mess up the diet and/or lower my BMI and my insurance company will retract coverage.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
