I finally have less than 24 hrs. I think I am a bit concerned about almost everything. ???? I have 2 broken bones in my foot - that ought to make things interesting. At least I am down to an air cast, easier than that darn hard cast. I am so ready - hope everyone is feeling better today!

Getting the Water in is hard but I was told it gets easier after day 3 or 4. Good luck to everyone going tomorrow.

I can say that getting the Water in gets easier and easier. My surgery was 12/4 and I am able to drink water exactly like I did before surgery and have been for over a week. Hang in there - it will get better before you know it.

After being caught in a Catch 22 between my surgeon and my PCP I finally today got my surgery date. Jan 26 2 days after my 60th birthday. I was beginning to think I would never get the surgery.

Hope everyone who had surgery today is doing good.

Just got insurance approval today. Surgery scheduled for January 4. I can't decide if I am thrilled or terrified.

congrats. Right around the corner. I'm Jan 20th.

I dont know if I'm thrilled or terrified either. Reading people having a difficult time getting fluids down post op to losing and feeling great to then reading sleevers gaining a year or 2 out. I"m ready to have this tool though. I'm tired of being tired.

Surprisingly pretty good. I just want food sooo bad. Soo i got some tomatoe bisque and butter nut squash on some days. Premier Protein is my friend. Goes down the best. Learning to mix my Water and i can handle it better. Havent got all my Protein in yet...per day like 40 grams...i need 60...but by 8pm...im so full. I put some jeans that were super tight on this morn bc i had to go in office and thry just slid on. I super smiled. So excited in this process.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
