Vehicle crash with moose - Abdominal contusions

Last night I hit a moose on the turnpike on the way home. Abdominal contusions and abrasions near port site. CT scan in ER showed nothing happened to band or port. God was watching over me for sure! Car totaled. Have to go and buy a new car. Check out the damage. Boy am I sore all over.

Oh how terrifying! You'll probably be nervous about driving for weeks now. Thank GOD you are OK! I know that a lot of people die here where I am when they hit deer with their cars. Wow. :omg:

The state trooper asked me if I wanted to take the moose meat home. No way, it was pretty badly mangled. I was driving a Honda CR-V. Thank God I had a good car - if I had been in my VW Beetle, I would probably not be here. I am going to buy another Honda CR-V -- it saved my life!

Oh my god, you are lucky to be ALIVE!! Thank goodness you weren't hurt more seriously.

I hear you about the Honda CR-V. I had a piece of metal junk fall off a truck and land square on my windshield a while back, totally destroying it and almost going through into my face. The windshield held, though. That is one strong car!!

Thank goodness you are ok....I mean with minimall damage to you and thank goodness your band and port are ok. God definitely was looking out for you. Take care and heal well and slowly don't try to go bungee jumping this weekend....;)

Thank god you are okay, that looks like it was a terrible accident! You must have been freaked out!

Seriously, they offered you the meat? I guess I'm too much of a city girl, I have never heard of that before...
