Hey how is everyone doing?

I made if there and back uneventfully...LOL. I've been doing pretty good. Day of surgery and next were as expected. Day 3 and 4 all but my epigastric surgical pain and increased difficulty breathing set in. The nurse I am immediately goes to the worst, "i have a blood clot in my lung, or a leak, or.....". So I went to the ER. All my tests were negative for surgical complications (as I hoped). It was just swelling and the breathing issues were from my asthma. My asthma almost sent me back there today. The change of weather is hard on it. Having my first bit of reflux, probably because I pushed a progression of a food faster that I should have.

Today I felt like I just pigged out. When I added it up it was 350 calories!! Amazing.

All in all I'm feeling great. The memory of surgical discomfort is fading, kinda like childbirth. Actually I remembered that a good long while...this is fading fast. :)

I had surgery 10/15/15. Gas was a nightmare on the 16th but has gotten better each day. I have trouble sleeping though but I'm guessing because there are several naps throughout the day! Lol. Each day I feel better and better except today I was so irritable!! Anybody else experiencing irritability? Thought maybe it was a post op side effect and hopefully was a one time thing? We shall see!!!

My surgery on the 15th went great. No complications. No need for pains mess until I got home. Surgery was at around 8:00a.m. and I was released to go home at 6:30 pm. The only issue I'm having is figuring out if I'm taking in enough liquids. I never have a full feeling but I get a discomfort in my chest at a certain point. I'm going to call the doctor today and ask about it.I dontvwant to be starving myself and not know it!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
