Thanks for responding. I feel like I should be drinking more Water but I can only drink a few sips here and there and then I feel full. I'm going to try crystal light also. I made Jello yesterday and added Protein to that. I'm going to have some of that later today. How are you feeling?

You will be able to drink more, just listen to your body. Luckily I haven't had issues getting my Water. I do when I have added Protein to my brother, that's when I feel full. I'm not having pain really, just discomfort. I was able to sleep in bed for the first time last night, I was sleeping on the recliner. I have a little more discomfort today, maybe because of that. Had a blah day yesterday, but better today. How are you doing?

I feel pretty good, I don't have any pain. My only problem is keeping up with my kids. They are 3 & 1 so they're a handful. Lol My mom has been coming over to help out when she can since my hubby works long hours 6-7 days a week. But I can't wait to be able to take care of them on my own.

I was the same and at 3 weeks post op, I still have to push myself a bit to get water down, but I'm getting there. Just try to take a sip every 15 minutes if you can. At about 10 days post op, I was able to get Protein Shakes down pretty smoothly. I liked sugar fee Vitamin water before my surgery and now its too sweet ! I know this might sound yucky but I keep an eye on the color of my pee to ensure I am getting enough fluids. If it's light in color, I am getting enough fluids.

I'm 5 days out. I drink Water, crystal light, broth. I am also doing sf Jello and sf popsicles. I am only adding Protein to my broth once a day , probably should be more. I get about 30 protein. Can't take my Vitamins I got. I throw them up. Going to try Flintstones.

I'm day 3...feeling a bit sorry for myself, had to stay in hospital an extra day as couldn't hold down fluids, bit better now and the Protein shake is going down ok...but i'm still very gurgle. Surgeon said was a bit tight from all the swelling and would settle down, has anyone else been feeling a bit blue?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
