I'm 5 days out. I drink water, crystal light, broth. I am also doing sf jello and sf popsicles. I am only adding protein to my broth once a day , probably should be more. I get about 30 protein. Can't take my vitamins I got. I throw them up. Going to try Flintstones.

Thanks for responding. I feel like I should be drinking more water but I can only drink a few sips here and there and then I feel full. I'm going to try crystal light also. I made jello yesterday and added protein to that. I'm going to have some of that later today. How are you feeling?

You will be able to drink more, just listen to your body. Luckily I haven't had issues getting my water. I do when I have added protein to my brother, that's when I feel full. I'm not having pain really, just discomfort. I was able to sleep in bed for the first time last night, I was sleeping on the recliner. I have a little more discomfort today, maybe because of that. Had a blah day yesterday, but better today. How are you doing?

Sorry chopsitter and ddlxray are same. One on phone other computer, just can't get name synced.

I was the same and at 3 weeks post op, I still have to push myself a bit to get water down, but I'm getting there. Just try to take a sip every 15 minutes if you can. At about 10 days post op, I was able to get protein shakes down pretty smoothly. I liked sugar fee vitamin water before my surgery and now its too sweet ! I know this might sound yucky but I keep an eye on the color of my pee to ensure I am getting enough fluids. If it's light in color, I am getting enough fluids.

Surgeon said was a bit tight from all the swelling and would settle down, has anyone else been feeling a bit blue?

Thanks Sharontx for the vitamin. I will try it. Slim, I was blah, blue on day 5. Am so much better. Everyone here was great and told me this was normal. Hang in there.

Anna glad your doing good :).
