My doc sent me home with Zofran and I use it when I need to. The French onion Soup sounds fantastic! I'm just backing off and going with what my sleeve can handle.

I know this sounds wierd but try wendys chili, mush it with a fork and chew it well. I swear it was the only thing that I could deal with for about 2 weeks. I have a wonderful copy cat recipe for it if it works for you!!

I hate sugar free anything, will not eat anything that is sugar free. Look up infused Water recipes they may help you also. I am not loosing weight as fast as others but I am not getting sick either. I am 30 pounds down since 5-11-15

I think you posted on another thread about their chili. I'm glad because I tried it last week and it works! I had 1/2 cup today. If not, thanks for sharing! Things are looking up!

I will use as my base the things that work and you can tolerate. Slowly try new things and add them in one at a time. I would give new foods a week before adding in more. As far as non dairy milks go hemp mike has the most Protein, but it's not a taste everyone likes. In the bean family split pea, lentils and black Beans have the most Protein. You can always puree them and mix with low sodium broth to make them more palatable. These would be foods to help you get more protein in during those early post op days.

If you are having trouble getting in Water try diluting 100% apple juice or white grape juice with your Water. They are high in sugar so be careful. I find a 1 part juice 3 parts water is tolerable for me, but that varies depending on your sweet tooth. I also enjoy water more ice cold so I pile on lots of ice. and even freeze the water bottles.< /p>

Have you tried Premier Protein it has 30 mg of Protein and taste great they have three flavors but I like the vanilla. Good Luck

@@AfitRN2015 I appreciate the tips! I'm doing great today. No more nausea. I'm able to get fluids in easily. I drank an Isopure Protein Drink with no issues. Tomorrow I get to try yogurt.

@@by Gods Grace I've been using Premier Protein for many weeks. It's my favorite out of all the Protein Drinks that I've tried. I don't like Isopure Protein drinks. Weird flavor and too high in carbs. Nothing I've eaten so far bothers my sleeve. I hope it offers the restriction I need to lose weight!

Try mashed cauliflower in the blender I do mine with some Protein Powder and I can't belive it's not butter... It looks and kinda tastes like mashed potatoes. You may have to wean yourself over to it.. Try mixing the potatoes in with less each time. Also have you tried almond milk. Even the chocolate is good. You may need to add some benefiber too. I have an angery sleeve too and found that 5 meals of a spoonful was better - sleeved June 16, 2015

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
