Roseluv3 how are you doing with your liquids? I am on day 6 and everyone is still alive here, it did get better at the end of day 33 and day 4 got a lot better. Iam very tired of shakes all ready I am getting like in but lord they are not wonderful...but iam doing them and yes the unjury chicken Soup is such a good one to switch up all the sweet with!

Good luck everyone!!!!

Hey! I'm doing good....I'm on day 8 (omg). I've been doing okay....some days are better than other. I feel like once 5 pm hits that's when I'm super hungry, I think that's because I'm making dinner for my family. I'm drinking broth as my afternoon snack or after my last Protein shake dinner. Yeah the Protein Shakes can be tough (I've been using Bariatric fusion per my surgeons suggestion) to get down. Im used to like mixing mine with spinach or a banana but I can't with this phase. I did order some Torani sugar free syrups that I will be adding to my Protein Shakes to hopefully make they taste better. ????

I'm on day 6 now. I really haven't been ravenous hungry, but have had the usual hunger, and it's been easier than I thought up to now. I wanted to know if anyone has had bloating and some mild pain below belly button. Last night and today, I have had those symptoms, and was wondering if this was just a little bump.

Hi everyone!!! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! I'm on day 9 of my 14 day liquid diet. It's been tough but it's been going. I've "survived" going to parties, out with friends, and my daily family life. I've been having 3 Protein Shakes a day, 2-4 cups of broth a day, and 2 sugar free popsicles a day or sugar free Jello. I am very excited and anxious for my surgery on the 29th! Hope you are all doing well ????

Today is my last day! I'm only allowed Clear Liquids today--no Protein Shakes. Woke up with a major headache and nausea which certainly curbed my appetite. Now I'm starting to feel hungry but just keep sipping. I just have to get through it today!! Surgery tomorrow morning!

Day one and I would have to say it's been "the best of times and the worst of times!"

Tired, and weepy one second then the next, talking a mile a minute!

It's really made me realize that I have a bad attachment to food. Only on day one and so much inner drama.

But no matter how hard, I'm glad to make the journey and hopefully find a new me and a new, better, relationship with food at the other end.

Good luck to everyone...and as someone in one of the earlier posts said, "dream the dream"....and I'll add...."till it's reality!"

on day 8 ... last night was the toughest ever! its better today, I am just sticking to it? At least the days seems to be going by pretty fast.

I was staring in the pantry last night, thinking oh lord I want something, then I would go find something to do and then my head would tell me "its time to eat" and I was just going around and around last night. Its in my head, I wasn't starving, I just wanted to chew something! the head hunger can be bad, but I am not hungry, I think if I had something besides liquids it would be better of course. But only a few more days and surgery will be here. I keep telling myself I made it this far!

Good luck everyone ... Keep it up!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
