I had surgery September 28th. I was home the next day. The gas pains are the worst! Make sure you are stocked up on gas-x because you will need it. Walking helps alot! I was in quite a bit of pain after surgery. They brought me to my room and I just could not get comfortable in the bed because of all the gas pains, I had to get up and walk immediately

How are you doing? I'm doing well I had the sleeve. My incisions are starting to itch so I'm guessing that means they are healing. I have little to no pain. I don't have a scale so I am waiting until my 3 week post op visit for my first weigh in.

I had my sleeve to bypass revision on 9/28 and was discharged on 9/30. I had to give quite a few pleases to go. He had preferred I stayed 1 more night. I had my revision due to severe acid and bile reflux and so far I have not had any problems with reflux since. I am still having some intermittent pain but nothing I can't handle. I am keeping liquids down but I am having no desire to drink at all. I am trying to force it but that is very hard for me to do. I am going to start my Protein Shakes tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well!!

I had my RNY on the 28th. Doing fairly well. Pain is pretty much gone except for the occasional sharp pain on my left side that lasts a few min and then gone. I am having a tough time getting all of my Protein and Fluid requirements in. I hate that protein shakes! I can't wait until I can have cold things and something other than liquid! Hope everyone is doing well!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
