Yup! Didn't quite follow the recipe to a T though .....

1 Carton EAS Vanilla Shake

1/2 Scoop Unflavored Unjury

5 Maraschino Cherries

3 Packets Splenda

Handful of Ice

200 Calories ~ 3g Fat ~ 12 Carbs (dang cherries:blink:) ~ 1g Fiber ~ 27g Protein

It was good, could have used more cherries though but unfortunately all I had were 5 of them  Tomorrow is BUTTERSCOTCH!

At the time that I posted that I was eating whatever frozen meatballs I could find at the store (because I hated cooking!) ... but I have since found this recipe (and became addicted to them) and now I make them myself ...

Parmesan Meatballs

1.5 lbs Ground Beef

3/4 C Shredded Parmesan Cheese

2 Eggs

1 tsp Dried Parsley

Dash of Pepper

2-3 T Butter

15oz Can of Tomato Sauce

1 Clove Garlic

1/2 tsp Onion Powder

1/4 tsp Basil

1/8 tsp Oregano

Combine beef, cheese, eggs, parsley & pepper until well mixed then shape into meatballs. Melt butter in a large skillet and cook until all sides are browned. Place browned meatballs in the crock pot or a casserole dish suitable for the oven.

Combine the tomato sauce, garlic, onion powder, basil & oregano. Pour over the meatballs, stirring gently to coat.

Turn crock pot on low for 1-4 hours OR bake, uncovered in an oven at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

**I make them in the crock pot and although the recipe says 1-4 hours, I let them cook on low for 6-7 hours ... they turn out really tender and oh so yummy!**

Hey Bloo do you chop up the garlic or throw the whole clove in the crockpot?? I don't cook very much and I have never cooked with garlic before. I feel stupid for asking that question.

Thanks!!!

Don't feel stupid ... I'm not much of a cook either! I actually cheat  ... I use McCormick's Sliced Garlic which is found in the seasoning section. 1 T of the sliced garlic = 1 clove fresh

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
