How do you guys feel about chicken tenders?

I realize since it's breaded it's not something to make a habit out of, but if you're out and you need to eat is it okay once in a while? Usually seems like one of the better options at restaurants. Plus they are delicious =)

I don't eat them because they're breaded. Most chicken tenders are frozen after being fried, so there's that also. A lot of places offer a not breaded alternative. Chick FIl A has "naked" nuggets (unbreaded grilled chicken bits), and Wendy's offers a grilled chicken piece vs a breaded chicken piece in just about every chicken item they sell.

I get grilled where I go and where I go I usually already no what I can get. I don't do breaded or fried. If it's a Wendy's Iv done chili, grilled chicken breast no bun etc.. we go to ruby's I get the grilled salmon or I'll get the plain turkey burger again no bun no lettuce(my choice ) and get grilled zuchinni or grilled green beans..????

I have done it once in a situation where there were no other options that would work for me. What I learned is that I could barely eat it because it was actually gross. I am very sensitive to anything fried in oil.

I do however eat chick fil a grilled nuggets with a side of fruit. That is probably one of the better fast food solutions.

Mostly I stay away or now I can actually tolerate salad if I end up at a fast food place with other people.

I think there are typically much much better options. I go for any type of seafood ..broiled, steamed, grilled first, Then chicken or turkey or pork..if cooked right.

Yeah, if you can avoid the chicken tenders, that would be great. If you only have them like once or twice a year, probably not too bad if you can tolerate them but for me, once I allow myself to eat something, even if I say it will only be once or twice, I end up eating it much more often. So, it's best to not get into bad habits. If you can find something better, you should. Like someone else suggested, it's not just the breading, it the fact that they are fried as well that isn't good.

Best of luck! Sometimes it's hard!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
