What did you eat on the plane trip home?

I'm not sure what to bring.

I was just wondering the same thing. I can't believe I'm only 3 days from my travel date and four from surgery. It seemed like it was taking forever and now it feels like it flew by!

On my trip back from Mexico I only had water all day till about 10 pm when I got home and had jello.

I drank Gatorade and water. I wasn't hungry (and couldn't eat anyway). I did have broth at the hotel before leaving (all 5 tablespoons of it). That was plenty.

At a layover in the airport miso soup

Right after surgery, for a week or two or three (depending on your doc's instructions), you won't be *eating* anything. Just sip-sip-sipping Water and other liquids to try to meet your 64-ounces / day minimum of liquids.

I know. I thought it as implied that this would be like broth or some other liquid.

I tried to get broth but nothing was really available in SD. I got a couple Protein shakes but could not finish them. I wasn't hungry or craving at all from SD to NY.

I drank watered down apple juice on the plane.
