Goal after stall or gain? Share your 2nd ???? wind!!!

I would like to hear from anyone who reached goal weight after a period of months or years during their WLS process where they stalled out or even gained weight, but then refocused and got to goal.

I'm not talking about a four week stall. I'm talking about five/six months or more where you hovered at a still high weight or even gained some back, but then found a way to get back on track and got to goal.

I know you're out there! Please share what it was like, what happened, and what it is like for you today.

I'm not sure if I count or not, however I stalled out badly at 167, where I was stuck for 2 months and then again at 134-137 where I was stuck from October until April of this year. I found in both situations I was being lazy and when I significantly improved my exercise and cleaned up my diet, I was able to drop again. A trick for me that some people don't approve of is eating clean Monday through Friday and then largely eating what I want to on Saturday and Sunday. If I want some cheesepuffs Sunday afternoon or some nacho dip Saturday night, I have it, and then I don't feel like I'm spending my entire life on this awful restricted diet. Because of my sleeve I really don't eat very much, but I'm now at a point where if I don't work out and I don't eat a relatively clean diet, there is no way I'm dropping any more weight. Also, I try to not freak out if I eat something that isn't perfect, whereas when I dieted before the sleeve if I ate something bad on a Wednesday, well the diet was shot until next Monday. Right now I'm munching my way through a grilled chicken sandwich, and it is darn yummy after the last 2 weeks of really being good on my diet. I won't have the need to eat until much later tonight and I don't feel like I'm on a diet when if I want something, I can have it, since I can no longer eat an entire serving, or an entire bag/pan/bowl of anything.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
