Insurance approved today! Set for May 21st! Anyone else?

I just got the call that my insurance approved today and my surgery is set for May 21. I just got finished with vacation so from here on my new life is about to begin. I kind of had my "fat funeral" on vacation. Didn't go crazy, just ate what ever I wanted knowing it would be the last time in a long time. I'm an emotional binge eater too so I'm most worried about that when stress becomes a factor. Looking for some other people going on this journey at the same time so we can support and encourage each other. My husband had the lap band in 2007, which hasn't worked for him long term. He is urging me to do this because he feels it will be better results than the band. He wants to be sleeved to but insurance won't approve the revision because his band isn't problematic. So nervous, excited and scared all at once. I'm 5'7, 250lbs. Can't wait for this!

Very excited! We've got 1 week to go! I did my pre-op testing today and had boot camp yesterday. This sh*t is real now!

My surgery is scheduled for Monday the 18th. I'm super nervous but know it will all be worth it. I only fear I won't lose like I expect to. Only time will tell. The two week prep has been tough for me. I haven't had one soda since I started the prep. And only eating one meal a day when my stomach is still normal sized is hard. I do the protein shakes. Those help a lot and I'm very blessed with a supportive husband but ahhhhh! I'm ready to get the surgery over with and start my family when the time is right. I have pcos and it's miserable to deal with. It has caused me a lot of grief and has me infertile. Prayers needed and I'll be praying for you all as well. Keep in touch!

Tricia, my friend has pcos and had the sleeve done over a year and a half ago and was pregnant in less than a year after she had surgery! She's due in late July/ early August!
