????Any May Gastric Bypass peeps????

Recommended Posts

@@dawnyoung875 I have surgery May 21. Day 3 of liquid diet....struggling and learning very quickly just how bad my addiction with food is. Excited for surgery though :)

The first 3 days definitely were the worst. I just tried to get as creative with my pre-op diet as I could. And yes you really do see how addicted to food you really are. But being a few days post-op now it was oh so worth it. Good luck on your journey ????

Getting a little worried here. Surgery was on Tuesday May 5...... Still experiencing pain , I'm wondering if I'm drinking too fast. I feel like I've slowed a lot but maybe not slow enough. My incisions are painful and I am using pillow to support stomach when I walk. At the very top of stomach just where ribs open otherwise known as the epi-gastric area is so painful. Is it pain or too full, I'm not sure. 8 oz of Protein Shake I drink a small medicine cup and wait 15 minutes to the next

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Same day of surgery for me too ????

The pain is is definitely real isn't it!? Today has been a much better day for me. I to, slowed way down with anything consumed. I also played around with liquid temperatures. Room temp is easiest to digest, without fear of vomiting. I'm comfortably getting in recommended amount of both Water and Protein today. I use post-242829-1431207238155_thumb.jpgin my water. 16grams of protein per 1 ounce. So I've been just doubling up my shots in my water ???? good luck to you on your journey ????

I've tried the orange, grape and peach/mango but not the lemonade yet. That ones next. It definitely beats that thick Protein taste.

@salonboi. Just placed an order with Amazon for LiquaCel. Thanks for sharing.

Fabulous, which flavor did you get?

Ordered the variety packs. I think packets I have to mix with Water. All I know is this : I cannot drink another chocolate Protein of any kind. I also have the Isopure protein drinks.< /p>

Awesome. I also use the isopure unflavored no carb protein in my water. Just to keep it high protein all the way. I is definitely unflavored, just adds a very slight texture difference.

Nature's Best Isopure, whey Protein Isolate, Unflavored (Zero Carb), 3-Pound Tub https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002TG3QPO/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_udPtvb0XXBC9S

Thanks Salonboi , I will check that out also. I do drink the Isopure flavored bottles ( iced tea and grape) I like a lot. 40 Protein, no carbs, 170 calories per 20oz bottle.

Are you adding fiber to any of your drinks?

NUT hasn't said I needed just yet. I assume when I start adding more foods in I'll need. Nothing solid right now going in or out so I think it's the way it should be lol. How about you? Has your NUT or Dr said anything about it?

I've hit my Fluid intake everyday And come close to my Protein. I've had a lot of pressure Which is uncomfortable but what's in I have left has been manageable so far. I m just really weak and tired I would say that's harder than he pain or not eating .... Are you experiencing any weakness or exhaustion?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
