Recommended Posts

I've hit my Fluid intake everyday And come close to my Protein. I've had a lot of pressure Which is uncomfortable but what's in I have left has been manageable so far. I m just really weak and tired I would say that's harder than he pain or not eating .... Are you experiencing any weakness or exhaustion?

Definitely on both fronts. But I'm relaxing as much as I can, so not much energy being exerted. The gas pain first few days was not fun. It's slowly subsiding. Walking definitely helps. Good on ya, for getting in your requirements so quickly. I didn't wanna push my new pouch to fast to soon. It was speaking to me, so I chose to listen lol. Definitely glad I listened. No dumping at all ???? yay

I use this stuff called Liqacel, it's 16oz of Protein per 1oz shot. So I double up shots to add to my Water. It's so good. I got sick of protein type milky shakes. Definitely makes a big difference killing two birds with one stone.

My surgery was May 5 also.

I'm reading posts several times a day, very helpful to have feedback and feel I'm going through this journey with others who understand first hand.

Thanks Salonboi , I will check that out also. I do drink the Isopure flavored bottles ( iced tea and grape) I like a lot. 40 Protein, no carbs, 170 calories per 20oz bottle.

Are you adding Fiber to any of your drinks?

NUT hasn't said I needed just yet. I assume when I start adding more foods in I'll need. Nothing solid right now going in or out so I think it's the way it should be lol. How about you? Has your NUT or Dr said anything about it?
No, NUT or DR has said anything about adding fiber at this point. Makes sense, nothing solid in it out so doesn't seem necessary.

Congratulations on being on losers bench now! Glad to hear it went great. Thank goodness they got you situated this morning, as to not lose your place in line for surgery.

The water part only sucks when you think of not having it. Being hooked up to an IV drip alleviates any dehydration. Godspeed on your recovery and keep us posted ????

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
