Did anyone have MORE energy newly sleeved?

Recommended Posts

I feel better now, just over 3 weeks post op, than I did before surgery. My mood is better and my energy levels are much higher. I don't understand how I can feel so peppy when my body is living on 600 calories a day. I read so many posts where some are struggling to get their energy back... but I know I can't be the only one that has felt 1,000 times better almost immediately post-op.

I have contemplated all sorts of theories, lol. I know that my blood sugar is very stable now, and I am not having the numerous cups of coffee that I used to have. The little I am eating of soft solids are from fresh foods, nothing processed, few chemicals and additives. I have met my Fluid and Protein goals daily since day 3, and take all my Vitamins. Is cutting out the crap foods, and getting all the protein and vitamins the reason I feel so darn good? Could I have had deficiencies pre-op that I am now meeting? I really don't understand it.

Did anyone else experience this? Is there some valid explanation, or just the perfect combination of things?

The three week mark was my turning point. My body was lighter, I was completely detoxed of chemical laden food, artificial colors, excess fatty mess...

Plus the pure excitement of being post op and diet free!!

I am 9 days post op and feel great! I have had NO problems getting my Protein and liquids in. I returned to work full time one week after my surgery. I am sleeping well and very alert during the day. I am enjoying the "sleeved" life! I am having a hard time still taking it easy so I heal completely. Since surgery I am down 12 pounds, and on the pre-op diet I lost 10. I have been so thankful I have chosen this road so far!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
