@@Hertsukfem31, I feel that 100% I actually cried because I wanted to eat myself into oblivion, that is so wrong!!! I am learning though slowly but surely.

@@bubbles2015 Hi there Bubbles! I am 4 weeks out also. I noticed that you said that it takes you 40 minutes to finish your egg. I can't eat a whole scrambled egg (w/cheese) yet. I can feel full after just over half. My nutritionist told me to stop eating after 20 minutes. I eat about 1/4 cup of food each meal. I can eat a little more yogurt. Anyway, eating over a period of 40 minutes cuts down on your Fluid intake time. Maybe ask your Nut about the 40 minute meals?

@@Hertsukfem31 You said: "I'm 2 weeks post op now and still feel unwell, extreme exhaustion, feel sick, trying new things like Weetabix and I am gonna try scrambled egg soon but it's just a case of too exhausted to try"

I am 4 weeks post-op and I am still extremely exhausted. Call your nurse for suggestions. I called yesterday and was told to drink G2 Gatorade and to eat fruit. I did that and am feeling just a bit better. She told me that the exhaustion can last six to eight weeks. :( HANG IN THERE! I hear it gets better! ;)

@@TammyDTM, I was told it could easily take me that long to eat and that it is very normal. I think because Protein and calories more important at this point, I have all day and night to drink. That comes from my doctor so I feel right on track.

I'm having to go back a step for a few days as I have tried a few things last 2 days only 1-2 teaspoon full each time and become extremely exhausted, nauseous and my heart rate starts thumping very quickly, I'm so annoyed as I felt much happier starting the next phase and now I am back to the start again :-(

I'm glad that your doctor has you on track. You are doing well!

@@Hertsukfem31 Sometimes a "reset" is necessary. Perhaps your stomach isn't ready to move along. Call your doctor if it gets too concerning. Take it slow...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
