You should have just bought everything from 24 Hour Fitness. Did you have to pay shipping because I ordered mine from 24 Hour Fitness and the total' date=' including the 6 month free subscription came to 255 which is what you're going to end up paying if you're not able to get a trial subscription. The shipping was also free from 24 hr fitness [/quote']

Hmmmm it's pricing out $278 plus shipping, so I still think I managed to get a deal. Mine was $176 with free shipping, guaranteed (so I can return if I need to), and only used a handful of times.

How the heck did you get such a good deal?!?

If you use the code skinnyscoopbb for the bodybugg it takes off 15 bucks. Then I found a 10% off coupon code and did a seperate order for the digital display bringing it from 79 to 71 and change and there was no tax or shipping.

Man that stinks! I am wondering if I should just suck it up, sell back the other on eBay and just get the new stuff! Makes sense, right? GRRRRRR! So I wait until next week to get it--that's not so bad I guess :-(

Do you have the 10% off coupon code that I can use for the digital display? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!

Okay I just broke down and ordered it. Stinks, I missed the cutoff for processing, so I guess it will ship tomorrow.

I am wondering if I really need the display though. It looks like there is an iPhone app, wonder if there is one for Bberry? Time to do the Nancy Drew bit LOL

Nothing for the BlackBerry  I wish! I have one, too.

The digital display gives you the info real time (steps, cals burned, etc) without having to plug your BB in to anything. Is that how it works with the phone apps? Or does it just let you enter food and look at data from other days (after you've uploaded it onto the site?)

I got a BB from ebay long ago, but I had problems with it. Because I didn't buy it directly from the site, I couldn't return it (I guess I could have lied and said I got it as a gift? Not much of a liar.) I didn't have the digital display then, but bought it this time (I wish I'd thought to look for another coupon code!) I find being able to see the numbers very motivating.

. Someone mentioned not wearing it while driving, that doesn't really have an effect on the data does it?

I don't remember every having a problem with the BB thinking I was running really fast when I was driving or anything.

I went and ordered both from 24 hour fitness. When the eBay one gets here, I will just resell it on eBay. God knows, I got into a bidding war with the one I got!

So when you buy the display, even though it syncs with he display right away, do you still need to upload the data from the BB itself? I am sure I will have a ton more questions after I get it. I hope it comes soon!!!!!!

Yes- you still need to upload the info to the website-- otherwise you won't have *all* the data available, and the ability to look back at your history. And if you're want to see your calorie deficit, you also have to input your food for the day. Then you can see calorie deficit over time- it's pretty cool.

I have a metal allergy, which is why I don't wear watches. I was wondering if someone could tell me if the band on the BB stops the metal on the back (if there's any) from touching the skin??

I havent recieved mine yet but if I'm not mistaken, there are metal contacts on the underside that touch your skin. They read your body temp and can tell when you sweat. I think I read that the metal is nickel.

The metal must touch your skin for the BB to work. I have heard that some people have reactions to it.

I got mine yesterday, it wants me to eat 1250 calories a day and burn 2150. Yesterday I wore it but didn't exercise and burned 1790 calories. Today I am going to see how much exercise it takes to burn 2150. Y'all let me know what it wants you to do and what it takes to do it!

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
