I got hair today!

  • Popular Post

Hi everyone! I made a post a few weeks ago about the hair loss I was/am experiencing and I mentioned getting hair extensions instead of cutting my hair off. I had people inbox and ask On the thread to see them. I ordered mine from a seller (from Australia) on eBay. They are 250 grams of human hair and I paid 130-ish for them. I also went to the salon today and has them layered and styled so they aren't just flat out of the package. I think I have answered some of the questions! I probably won't wear them everyday and I'm not suggesting people use extentions I just chose to because my hair is thinning..and I love them :) hope everyone is doing well! post-237766-0-29194800-1425778955_thumb.jpg oh and the pic with the short hair is a lovely picture my 5 yr old took when I first woke up...don't judge! I only used it to show my actual length. Ha! :) Oh Annnnnd one more thing before I forget..I get asked how I pronounce my Name. It's pronounced like L.O.D or Melody without the M! Ok I think I covered everything now :)

@@Bellarose100 I honestly don't know. I ordered them from a supplier on eBay. I didn't even look at the package. I know they are human hair and 250 grams.

Hi Elode may I ask when you started having hair loss? It's not something that I have been told about, I'm 2 weeks post Op.

Thank you ????????

About 2 1/2 weeks ago, while shampooing my hair, it started coming out in clumps like never before. The clumps have gotten a tad smaller each time I shampoo, which is only once a week now, but it's still coming out. Plus I'm shedding like crazy!! :( I knew hair loss was going to happen at some point post-surgery, but sure did not expect it to be this much all at once each time I shampoo. I've always had really thick, nice hair regardless of what length I'm wearing it, but now it has gotten so thin, especially at my crown. I am taking additional Biotin, continuing with the Iron and have read that others are taking folic acid as well. Does the folic acid help? My PCP and surgery have assured me I will not lose all my hair, that this is only temporary, and that it will grow back and I know this to be true because of all the other WLS patients who have already traveled this road. I've started collecting the hair I lose so I can share it with my backyard birdies to use for nesting material...LOL!!! They might as well benefit from it

@@Elode Long hair don't care!! Gorgeous!!

@@Elode - the clumps were/are rather scary! I want my thick hair back! Just have to be patient until it starts growing in again.

Gosh that sounds scary........how many weeks post op are you? Interesting to note what you are all taking for the problem, at least I know if it happens, it's a side effect and how to try and treat it. Thank you :-)
