  2. Thank you for your response and your ideas ????????
  3. Thank you so much for your response......great advice. I was told at the outset that when food is your crutch you will need to find something else, I guess I just never realised how much of a crutch it was.

    Weight loss has stalled

I too am 3 weeks post op and haven't lost any weight for 5 days........so I know how you feel. It's very frustrating when you know you are only having between 600-800 calories. As others have said, maybe our bodies think we are in starvation, I'm hoping it's something like that anyway. Keep your chin up and carry on doing what you are doing, I'm sure it will come off soon ????????

Gosh that sounds scary........how many weeks post op are you? Interesting to note what you are all taking for the problem, at least I know if it happens, it's a side effect and how to try and treat it. Thank you :-)

    Back to work

You only had a week off? And no phased return to work? I'm not surprised you are tired. I'm 2 weeks post Op and considering phased return at 3 or 4 weeks.

    Liquid diet

Hi, I did 10 days on milk and yoghurt, I was also allowed tea and coffee and sugar free jelly. It was very hard, especially like you said when you cook for kids and husband. I didn't cheat, I'm also very proud of this! Keep it up, it will be worth it, you are half way there.

    St George's Hospital?

Hi I know how you feel, I don't want to sound negative but I hope your Weight loss programme is not as long as mine...I had to attend for 12 months and it took 16 months to my Operation, it was worth it, I'm 8 days post op now.

Happy Two Month Surgerversary to Me!

WOW...Congratulations to you. My 2 favourite things were Coffee and Crisps too...I'm 8 days post Op and not liking the taste of coffee much at all, it's very strange when I think about how much I used to drink. ☕️☕️xx

Keeping weight loss surgery a secret

I would have liked to keep mine more private, I only told my mum and 2 supportive friends, but my mum took it upon herself to tell lots of people, then it's amazing how it gets around. ????

    Weight Loss

Hi there, I'm new on here, had my Sleeve Op 23rd Feb 2015 in the UK so 1 week post Op, I haven't lost any weight as yet, not 1lb, is thus normal?? ???????? I must also say reading all your messages, it seems the UK surgery/pre Op/food intake is so very different from in the US.

    Weight Loss

Yes it happens. Sometimes it's Water weight from the IV fluids and sometimes it's your body trying to adjust to the changes. Give it time. Continue to follow your doctor's instructions. The weight will come off.Thank you...... It has started to come off now....woohoo!!! ????????

    Weight Loss

I'm near Southampton, plan on using michael van den bossche at the spire hospital. I'm hoping for surgery in May, need to book my consultation etc. I'm still a bit scared of committing to it..,I know it's right and I need to get it done, but it's scary! At the same time a bit exciting too!How are you getting on with drinking Water? That's one of my biggest concerns as I drink a lot!! Well I never drank enough water before so I guess it hasn't been a problem, I do need to drink more but I am told not to have a drink 30 mins a meal until 30 mins after a meal and when you have to have 5 small meals it is difficult fitting all the water in!!

    Weight Loss

Hi I had my surgery in Sheffield, Thornbury Hospital. Pre op diet was 10 days milk and low fat yoghurt, was extremely hard but I didn't cheat!! Post Op fluids only for 2 days, then puréed diet for next 4 weeks, which I'm on now, I'm struggling to be honest with the purée as I'm quite a fussy eater. Whereabouts are you in the UK?
