10 days post op!

Hey yall! I'm ten days out and was curious as to what yall could stomach food wise? I'm down 20lbs since and I'm so excited minus the set backs I had but over all doing great!

HI! I have tolerated everything I have tried. Scrambled egg, tuna, flaked grouper, ricotta bake, pureed chicken and Beans, pureed beef stew, pureed Soups, cottage cheese, applesauce, greek yogurt, SF pudding with unflavored Protein powder and hummus. think that's about it. No issues, I am a very happy camper.

What was your setback?

I ended up with a leak and bad infection that kept me in the hospital an extra 5 days. But feeling way better now! ????

Oh my goodness, so sorry to hear. So you may be on just liquids for awhile longer?

I'm 16 days out and sticking to protein shakes, whipped Greek yogurt, and soups (broth and creamy based). I've done well except for a cauliflower soup I had that didn't sit well. Monday I start purées and plan to try cottage cheese, yogurt, applesauce, fruit in my shakes (like bananas), beans with cheese/salsa, and hummus. We'll see how these things go down.

Hi, I'm 14 days post op and manage.....weetabix, yoghurts, soups, homous, cream cheese, puréed chicken and vegetables and puréed potato cheese & beans ????????

I had a hard time with Protein too. The shakes work great if you get the pre-made ones (premier protein was my favorite) and you can get flavorless Protein Powder that you can add to just about any other food...I ended up doing this b/c I got really sick of the "sweet" liquid foods and needed to feed my salt cravings - so I just mixed some in with soup and it went great. Good luck!

didn't your doctor give you a weekly guide to what to eat? Especially since you had so many problems? If not let me know and I'll send you what my doctor gave me. I was sleeved on the 2nd and I can have creamed soup and yogurt and sf popsicle and pudding
