Yesterday was day 2 for me and it was awful. But I didn't wake up hungry this morning. Just had a glass of Water and I don't feel queasy or like I'm starving.

Hoping this day is better for us all.

My dietician didn't say anything about broths, Popsicles or jello! I get 4 high Protein ensure & 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt and calorie free beverages - Water, tea, coffee. That's it. Those other things would really help. I made it through yesterday but the evening was rough. Tummy is quite noisy this morning lol!

Day 2 was a toughie - definitely got hungry/woozy in the evening. I just went for a walk, though, to distract myself.

I think the more Water I drink, the better I feel. And I swear nothing has tasted better than veggie broth these past two days!

We can do it!

I'm on my 3rd day preop. First day I cry, shaking, cold, and vomiting. I was miserable. Day 2 was better, day 3 my little dizzy but keeping positive. I can only have 3 shakes a day, and sugar free jello-o, some broth. The worst part is making dinner and school lunch for my family. It's a torture. But we can do this. I'm taking some time to rest, and sleep also, so my body can rest from the food withdrawal!

Day three has been good. Much different than the last two days. I'm feeling good and while a little hungry, I'm not "starving".

I made my husband some mushroom bites and pepper poppers. I ate one mushroom bit and now feel nauseous. Blah.

I can't believe I've lasted 3 days! Thank God for broth, it's the most filling and curbs my appetite the best.

But, yeah, this is definitely a test of will and discipline.

Day two has been tough for me too. Ready for bed! I did have a sugar free Jello which was amazing lol. My hubby made mac n cheese for him and our girls (I hate Mac n cheese). I so wanted to sneak a spoon full!

I'm on day 10! My surgery is Monday the 9th the 4th day the hunger pains went away. The 8th day was horrible for me I don't think I got enough liquids in and I had a horrible Migraine and vomiting. But I've only lost 6 pounds. So far how much has everyone else lost? But I guess if it was easy to lose weight I wouldn't need the surgery.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
