You look wonderful. Did it hurt? Did insurance cover it? May I ask how much weight you have lost? Thanks/

Fran

Hi Fran, thankyou for your comments and the answer to your 1st question is YES ! it hurt very much so, today it is 3 weeks since my surgery and im still in alot of pain, im still on 16 pain killers a day but im hoping to come off them soon.

I live in the UK and had both my Tummy Tuck and my band done on our health service which is called the NHS so i didnt have to pay. ive have lost in total i think approximatly 98 pounds as we work in stones here, i hope that answers your questions.

Also, one thing I forgot to ask. Did they unfill you before surgery? Did they move your port? If so, where did they move it to?

Hi there, 1st of all i wish you good luck with your up coming ops in August, which is the day after my wedding anniversary. The answer to your 1st question is no they did not unfill me at all before my surgery im exactly how it was previous, as for my port it feels in the same area, they may have moved it slightly with the pulling of the skin but it feels in practically in the same place. I hope this helps answer your concerns. from Liz xxxxx

For those that are still curios. One Stone is 14 pounds. That would put your starting weight at 268 and current at 182.

You look fantastic!!!

I am just starting the process of getting consults for my TT and breast reduction. I'm curious though, do you work? Have you gone back to work yet or feel you could if you had to? I have a desk job as a bookeeper but won't get any paid time off for the surgery so ever day I miss is costing me more money.

Time flies, huh? Expect a little more swelling for a couple of months. Some people report that the swelling goes down by about week 4, but comes back at week 6 ish. I was lucky enough to be swollen, but not shockingly so, for only a couple of months. So, I never really had the swelling go down, then come back up. But apparently it is pretty common.

Let us know how you are feeling Liz! And we need 4 week post op pics too!!

Hi there, i dont work at the moment im just a full time mum. Tommorrow will be 4 weeks since mt t/t i still cant do any thing strenuous, but a desk job maybe ok, i would recommend at least 4-5 weeks off work as i become very tired doing simple things at the moment, but every one is different you will know when you are ready to do more and return too work.

Thanks for the info. I really want to do this and am not too worried about the pain. More worried about work firing me if I can't get back in a reasonable time. Maybe even more worried that my husband won't let me go back for the additional nips/tucks I want after the first one.

I'm looking at:

Tummy Tuck,

Breast Reduction,

Arms

& Inner Thighs

Depending on where I look it appears this will be at least 2 if not 4 surgeries.

I have been playing with a Physical therapy technique I saw on a TV show to try to help improve my arms without surgery. I can post pics & a description of what I did for anyone interested. I've been doing it for 2 weeks to just my left arm (to see if it really worked) and there is already a 1-inch difference between the two. But even though it is better it still doesn't look good enough for me not to want surgery.

Gost - i would love to know about the pt you are doing for your arms. That's one of the main things that keeps me going to the gym. I don't want bat wings!

I'm terrible. I still haven't got around to getting a photo taken for proof. But a couple months ago I saw a show about a SKINNY woman with some exess skin from multiple pregnancies. Her stomach skin didn't look anything like ours, it looked more like the old "elephant" ankles of sagging nylons if you know what I mean. The show said there was no scientific backing for this but that they gave her an intense massage for 8 weeks. They didn't say if the massages were 15-min or 1-hour sessions or if they were daily or weekly. But in the after shot her skin was completely tight again with no sagging. So I decided to test it on just one arm. I "massage" my left arm as vigorously as I can at least once a day usually just for a couple of minutes at a time. I rub the underneath with my knuckles like you might knuckle rub a kids head. And I also rub the back of my arms with my fingers. I try to rub hard enough to actually turn the skin red. Like I said I only do it for a couple minutes at a time. For example I will do it watching TV, at a red light in traffic, or in the shower while letting the conditioner set. After just 3 days I could already see a difference and within 2 weeks my left arm was 1-inch smaller than my right. It's now about 1-1/2" smaller but doesn't seem to be shrinking anymore. Though I have been remiss in massaging it lately. My left arm is by no means small now but it does look a little less unsightly to me. I will try to get my husband to snap a couple shots this week so I can post something next week.

I'd love to have someone else give it a try and let me know the results. I wish I could figure out how to do this to my thighs or stomach as well but its just not possible to do it to yourself in those areas with the necessary pressure and I have yet to convince my husband to do it for me. I tried to convince him it could be considered foreplay but for some reason he didn't bite.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
