I had mine Wednesday as well, and I'm feeling good. No cooler then what I was before... we live in Washington state so it's been in the high 50's low 60's here

@@marissa75 ... I had my surgery on 3/2 and I am also always cold now... not sure if it's normal... but a cup of hot tea, coffee, or cocoa helps... just make sure its decaf... not only does the mug keep my hands warm while i'm drinking but the hot liquids warm my insides. Also, moving around helps (walking, exercising, etc.).

@@FortKnox78 or anyone else. I had my surgery on Wednesday & I'm always cold now. My hands feel like ice. Is this normal?

hey marissa, yes my feet are cold. I would have to beleive its due to the changes our bodies just went through. I almost feel like putting on my hunting socks (wool) just to see if that'll work some.

I had my surgery Thursday & I was very nauseous for a few days. I was so hot all the time! I couldn't get cooled down. Then I came home & I had terrible cold chills. Last night was my first night home & I was chilled to the bone. I had to check my temp to make sure it wasn't a fever. Now I go back & forth, but I am warm more then cold. I guess my body is trying to stabilize.

The most pain you've ever felt? Oh gosh I was worried about that. I'm glad you are healing well. I have some of those Gas X strips packed but if they didn't give you any relief. Are you still having the pain now? Good luck with your continued loss! Mine is Monday.

Hey all. Im on my 3rd day post op. I feel somewhat better. The trapped gas is the most pain ive ever felt! I tried using gas x strips but am not sure if they helped or not. I 've. Got 6 small, and i mean small incisions and are healing up nicely. I can definitely feel when the Fluid hits my new pouch and it dont take much for me to realize im full. Ill be curious to see how much weight ill loose in the coming months. Well, good luck to you all!

jill- yes, it truly was the most pain I've ever felt. All my football injuries from 20 years ago dont even compare to this. Im doing much much better though. Right now, the most difficult part is having any kind of desire to get up and move. Im tired and have slowed down a bunch. That all being said, im down a total of 42 lbs from me heaviest, so thats good.

I agree, I would rather deliver another baby then deal with these gas pains! 11hours of labor ( my 6yr old) or 3 days of this gas pain? LABOR! Really! I hope it is gone soon, but feeling good otherwise.

I guess it's have to say I'm one of the lucky ones, as I've not experienced and of the negative effects I've seen such as nausea, vomiting, gas pains, cold chills, etc... I'm following my Dr's plans to a T and it's been smooth sailing for me, and I'm 4 days post op and starting on regular liquids today. Was able to have 2 Protein Shakes and a nonfat Greek yogurt today, and thankfully, no issues...

Good Luck Everyone that is experiencing issues, I hope it gets better for you all.

You are lucky! I have followed the plan 100% also but most of my issues were before fluids, or stage 1 diet started. My nausea & gas pain was so bad at the hospital that they thought I was having a heart attack & did an EKG & blood work the first night. I walked a lot, I didn't overly use my pain pump because I knew the pain wasn't from my incisions, but the gas. I am doing everything by the book. I followed the two week liver shrinking diet and lost 16lbs. My surgeon said everything went very smooth. I don't know why I had so much pain & discomfort but it definitely wasn't anything I did & I wouldn't wish it on anybody! I know this is all temporary & it will get better but wow those first few days were rough!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
