Sleeved on 12/16 .....have had absolutely no issues other than my taste and smell has been screwed up, but it coming back. Started at 259lbs and im stuck at 233.....have been there since mid January. No problems eating, but blown away with these people claiming only to be able to eat "2 baby spoonfuls" of food. Heck, i can eat an entire can of soup.....i move to stage 4 menu on the 16th, but have no desire to do so. Ive learned to like my premier protein chocolate shake each day and applesauce (unsweetened). I haven't experienced any pain. Im able to do what i want ( and have since the day i came home from the hospital (12/17).....this "stall" is giving me fits though....im so ready to drop some more weight.

  • 2 weeks later...

Glad I finally found other December sleevers. It's been a crazy journey. Down 27 pounds since surgery on 12/30. Seem to be in my second stall. Eating normally, but struggling to get liquid down.

Curious if anyone else is loosing really slowly now? I was losing a pound ever other day. Now I have only lost five pounds in a month. Something doesn't seem right. Would love some advice.

@@krismess8980 I'm also on my second stall =( been at the same weight for a week and 3 days. I've been cleared to eat all foods, but still can't hold down much meat/poultry, and tend to eat mainly soft foods because I have a hard time with hard foods.

Lol I hear you! I weigh myself constantly. Before & after. .. I use the bathroom, shower, eat, with and without clothes.. practically every time I'm in the bathroom! =/ I'm obsessed with it, it's horrible! I won't weight myself at the gym though, because that scale is off! Lol

Big mama, I'm with you! I weigh myself multiple times a day. So not dropping weight as quickly as before is killing me! Oh well, I decided that I need to get my ass up every weekday morning and work out. Need to get all I can out of this surgery. ????

Sleeved 12/29/14 and hit a few stalls. Have lost 34 lbs and of course wish it was more. Getting bored with shakes water and deli meat. Need to change it up but don't really know how. Any ideas?

I was sleeved dec 2 and am down 63 lbs.

I was given the go ahead to eat and consistently now. Fruits and veggies!

I am struggling Though. Nothing bothers my sleeve, not one dang thing! I wish something did. I eat apples with the skin. Sweet potatoes with skin. No pains or anything. It's good , but bad ya know? I ate peanut butter for the first time and wanted it to not agree with me, but it did :(

I am really in a not so good spot right now, it's not even 3 months :(

Depression, I'm sure of it

I was sleeved on the 29th has anyone started eating Nuts yet? I would love one of my old protein bars!

I have the same question about Jerky and the dreaded popcorn.

I've tried almonds and turkey jerkey both went down fine. :) Enjoy!

Depression is no joke... I'm so sorry!! Do you have someone to talk to? Maybe even a support group with other people who've been through surgery in your area? Especially since we can no longer go to the things that used to make us "happy" (i.e. eating) finding emotional support and new things to enjoy are so important!! Hang in there!!!

I'm still

On soft foods and I'm

Starting to get bored. Lunch meat feels like it gets stuck. :(

@@HealthArtLove,

It's hard to explain. I feel that, now that I am at the last phase of the new eating I'm trying foods out. Like, crackers, Peanut Butter, deli meat things that I shouldn't have an abundance of. My food of choice prior to surgery was peanut butter. Like, 2lb jars in two days. My go to food when I was on the verge of snapping emotionally. So, I tried it, and now I am always wanting it. I honestly feel like I've relapsed. I've been sober for 7 years so yes, I know what it feels like.

I also drink a lot of Water. Almost guzzle it.

I read people can barely eat anything at this point with out having some nausea and or vomiting.

I'm depressed because I feel I have failed already :( failed myself.

I do have support groups at the hospital where I was operated on, but they are scheduled when I am working (3-11)
