Depression is no joke... I'm so sorry!! Do you have someone to talk to? Maybe even a support group with other people who've been through surgery in your area? Especially since we can no longer go to the things that used to make us "happy" (i.e. eating) finding emotional support and new things to enjoy are so important!! Hang in there!!!
Miss Mac, what were the measurements you were given? My nutritionist didn't give me any idea of how much to try & eat, and since I've started purées, it's been a miserable trial and error process. Sometimes it's the right amount and others, I make myself sick.
You might want to try Genepro (I bought mine in Amazon). You only need 1 tbs for 30 grams of protein! It has no taste and mixes into anything (crystal light, broth, yogurt, apple sauce, etc...) without leaving a funky taste. It's really helped me!
Try GENEPRO Protein (available at Amazon). It's been a life saver for me. Mixes into anything without changing the taste or the texture and you only need to add 1 tablespoon to get 30 grams of protein!
Also, if you have a Trader Joe's in your area, tgey have yummy vegetarian thin Soups like carrot ginger, roasted red pepper and tomato or butternut squash.
Good luck!
Give Genepro protien try (available on Amazon). It's got 30 grams of protein in 1 tablespoon and is easily mixed into any liquid hot or cold. It's been my lifesaver! I don't really like "milky" protein shakes, but can mix it into 5-6oz Vitamin Water Zero or Crystal Light without changing the flavor or the texture. Do that 3x a day and you're covered!
