Overeating at Christmas

Recommended Posts

I've had too many chocolates and biscuits and feeling v depressed. So scared I won't get back on track. Haven't done anything like this since my band was fitted nearly 5 months ago. I don't have any Fluid in my band yet and a friend said she has to have hers q tight so she can't do this.

Feeling like I need support - felt so depressed this morning with sugar hangover!

This is my first post and first time on forum.

I have the sleeve, but I feel your pain. It's a new day, start it right and resolve to stick to your path.

I'm a bander nine months out and I had a 3-5 pound gain over Christmas. I haven't lost weight in two months. I felt like you do but talked it out with a few people, and the last three days have been good and the weight has come back off. Don't despair. We are human. The beauty of the band is that it makes it easier to get back on track. Focus on solid Protein and no starchy foods and no drinking calories. You'll find that if you just focus on one day at a time you can get back to good habits. Good luck!

I do eat carbs but I lose better when it's only Protein and veggies.

Don't let one mishap throw you off your path! And anyway, its Christmas! ????

I indulged a tad too but I exercise like a fiend. Do you find your tummy can't handle certain rich foods? That's been a great deterrent for me. When I desperately need something sweet and fruit won't do it I will munch on about a serving of dark chocolate-sea salt almonds. But I prefer Swiss Miss Diet Cocoa that I doctor up with a tbsp of cocoa powder and Splenda. I use either soy milk or Lactaid, 1% or non-fat.

Google Eggface. Great stuff there.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
