Bypass Surgery tomorrow 12/30/14

Tomorrow is the big day. 16 hours away!! Only my immediate family and my best friend know about this. I'm feeling nervous. A bit overwhelmed by the bad what if's. My doctor is at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH. His name is Dr. Sonnanstine. He seems like a great surgeon. His staff just loves him. I can tell it's not fake. Biggest fear with surgery is death, next to that I'd say diminished quality of life. I have 3 daughter's who mean the world to me. I'm doing this not just for me. It's for my family too. With high bp, dislocated disc and knee pain, I feel this is my last resort after many unsuccessful attempts to lose weight, including being put on weight watchers at 8 years old! Please say prayers for me. Prayers for peacefulness and rest. Prayers for the medical staff. Prayers for my family. Thanks all! Jamie

@onmywaytobeingfound---Thanks!! It seems like it's been longer than 2 1/2 months! LOL!

Hope your first "eating" experience goes well today! You'll probably be "full" after a bite or 2!

Thinking about you...I can't wait to be where you are. I am starting the process my appt is Jan 19th. I live in Canada and am a victim of our system. It will be about a year before my surgery. Best wishes in the new year and I hope you recover well

Thank you @@foevlo . Good luck and best wishes on your journey. A year? That stinks. But think of everything you can accomplish in that year. It will be here before you know it.

I'm doing much better now with recovery. Being home really helped me:-)

Keep us posted!

Hi @@Oompaloompa :-) I'm doing pretty good actually. I really didn't think I would do ok, or this well! My biggest issues right now is: getting enough fluids, keeping my emotions in check, minor pain still in biggest incision, and wanting to wake up skinny ;-) Lol :-) :-) What are some of your struggles?

Emotions is the biggest thing for me too... Had to see the psychologist to get the op but it's now I think I need the support. Being an over- eater for 40 years and bang - deprived - messing with the head

@@Oompaloompa I gotcha. It does mess with a person! I'm here if you ever want to talk :-)
