  2. I had my first coffee the other day and I am 7 weeks post op. I had decaf and Zymil (lactose free milk) as I seem to have developed an intolerance to lots of dairy. I had about half a small cup. Didn't want to push it in case it was another thing that doesn't agree with my tummy. I had no sugar but would probably like sweetner next time
  3. Hi there... My pains are getting fewer and now more like full aches but get occasional sharp pains to left still... Just wondering what you mean by the wound being pitted in??
  4. After 2 bad days feeling better... Had my post op today and sounds like I was getting the dumping a lot and I now have some changes to the diet... I have a bit of diary intolerance too. Thanks 2 months isn't too fair away
  5. Hi there... I had surgery 9th Dec so close to you. I have t been feeling too good, there's a few foods that are clearly upsetting my tummy but I am positive looking to the future since joining this forum realised a lot of my issues are normal. Finally on soft foods so things are brighter
  6. I am only 5 weeks post op but last time I successfully lost weight (65kg) only to put it back on I had terrible saggy skin. Has anyone been recommended or tried using something along to journey to help eliminate such as oil or cream daily or some other helpful remedy. I feel like at the start of the journey I want to try something...
  7. Wow you are doing great!!

  9. To be honest I don't remember post band just learnt to live with eating different and I was 14 years younger. The removal of the band was amazing- still took a good 4 weeks to come right but I didn't realise how difficult eating was until it came out. I did expect full recovery for RNY by 4 weeks or at least close!! At the moment I am my happiest when in the pool. All my aches and pains just disappear.
  10. Thanks. I feel I have turned a corner finding this forum!!! Everything is so normalised and I am panicking less????
  11. I had RNY on Dec 9 2014 and have 7- one was the drain, one in my belly button, one is large (inch) and the others tiny. I am not worried about them... Won't ever be in a bikini... Lol. I had 4 from my band 14 years ago, 5 when they took it out, a few extras from removal of gall bladder and these 7 brand new ones.... It's quite a pretty picture- join the dots my hubby says
  12. Sounds like everyone is different- I am 2 weeks liquid, 2 weeks purée, 2 weeks soft food, then slowly introduce other foods... at soft food stage but not allowed bread.
  13. I had an ultrasound and then X-ray to try figure things out- then suddenly the sharp pain disappeared. It's weird in Australia as we are told to go to our own doctor (GP) after the surgery until the 6 week post op. In hindsight I should have ignored that than rung the surgeons office as it sounds like the pain is common and he would have known that. My own doctor wouldn't have the quantity of patients with the bypass to know that. However the sharp pain is gone and it's all mild pains now. I struggle with food and mentally with not being able to eat. Playing it safe this morning with yoghurt for breakfast ????
  14. Emotions is the biggest thing for me too... Had to see the psychologist to get the op but it's now I think I need the support. Being an over- eater for 40 years and bang - deprived - messing with the head
  15. Thanks Denisemic - good to know it's normal to have slow weight loss... I am the same expected rapid weight loss but that was based on things I heard ...

  17. Thanks Maggie0210 !! Reassuring to hear. It's been better once I started soft foods but from food playing a big role to zero role in my life it's hard. It is like a grief almost of loss of enjoyment. I guess I will adjust and get used to it
  18. I am 4 weeks post op and had that sharp stabbing pain in the left for most of that time. I kept going back to my doctor as I was worried. I still get aches and pains but a few days ago the sharp stabbing pain just stopped. It's feels like recover is so slow.
