No problem and the first 2 days back or more I highly recommend sleeping inclined. ... I was not comfortable trying to lay flat in my bed.... I needed 2 get extra pillows and prop myself up.....

I am new to the Group, and have my Surgery on the 30th too! On 5 days of Liquid Pre-Op. Tonight is the end of Day 3. Can't wait till this is over with. I'm hungry and cranky. I need some positive energy right about now.

Sherry W I have been on 2 protein drinks and a soup. I have not gotten hungry but for me the trick has been the protein powder added to my shakes. For breakfast I have 8 oz almond milk (unsweetened) my 1/2 lemon at least 2 scoops of protein powder, 1 Tbls of sugar free lemon pudding (just the powder) and then add some frozen cherries or blueberries to tone down the lemon. add 5/6 ice cubes (I shave mine first) and I am good to go for hours..

Dec. 30th sleever here, too!!! How is everyone else feeling?? For me, I'm excited and a bit nervous, but mostly just anxious for the surgery part to be over with, so I can start the recovery part, and of course to see what life is like on the other side of the sleeve!!! I am overly emotional too, but that's because my depression & anxiety are kicking into high gear!!! I need a surgery buddy too!!! Any takers??

I'm too busy starving to death on this horrible long 2 week diet to be nervous about the surgery on the 30th. I had gallbladder surgery in '08 and it was super easy but I've heard this is worse. I'm just dying to not be hungry or be able to eat some runny retried beans or cottage cheese or something lol. Sick to death of the broth and protein...oh well on the bright side my surgeon allows coffee up until two days before surgery.post-243322-14197496074863_thumb.jpg

Ppl seem to have different requirements. .. I was only told clear liquids the day b4 surgery only

I am on full liquids tomorrow which is the day before surgery. I am ready and want to get this over with! It's been a long haul. I was to be free of my pain meds a week ago and I am in so much pain with my knees. The sciatica nerve is shooting down to my butt and legs. Ughh so this why I am ready to kick ass! Btw, good luck to the 29ers. I hope for the best!

Thank you @@bellabill! I have to be at the hospital at 7:30 tomorrow morning. I am a nervous wreck! I doubt I'll sleep much tonight! Wishing you have a smooth surgery and quick recovery!

Drinking broth and hoping for a relatively painless recovery. Dec. 30 sleeve seems like a dream after all these months of insurance, doctors, evaluations and mind prep. I'm as ready as I can be. Here I go.

Surg is today! Have to be at hosp by 7. Just wanted to tell you guys that I was clear liquid and protein until day before. All clear liquids yesterday and I thought my stomach going to eat a hole through my back bone! STAY BUSY! Take a nap, shower, walk, whatever but distract yourself and drunk water or broth and it will subside. Hang in there bc tomorrow morning for you, you will wake up and be so glad you stuck to it 24 hrs longer and it will be THE day! Good luck to you all!!!!

Thanks for all the words of encouragement, and good luck to all of you 29th Sleeve Surgeries today. This is my last day of eating torture, and then I will be up bright and early on the 30th for my Adventure. It can't come soon enough!

Well, the anticipation is building, and the day I have been working towards for about a year now is almost here!!! Have to be at the hospital at 8:30 tomorrow morning!!! Feeling excited, and a bit nervous, but mostly just want to get through the surgery, and ring in the New Year with a new, healthier body!!! Leaving for the hotel in Boston now, across from the hospital. Here I go, off on a new adventure in my life!!! Good luck to everyone else!!! We got this!!! ???? ???? ????
