Yesterday made 3 weeks post op for me. I feel hardly any restriction. I go for my first fill on Monday. I'm so ready. I feel like I haven't had weight loss surgery. I can eat anything. I have even eaten a little toasted bread today with no restriction. The incision where my port is located is still very sore. The others I hardly notice. Hoping that goes away soon. It feels like my port is very close to skin. I can feel the whole outline of it when I touch it, and when I'm standing it actually protrudes a little.

We are totally on the same schedule! I have mine on Monday as well. I feel a little restriction, but not a ton. I ate steak on Sunday and that was definitely not as easy as my normal chicken and fish. Besides that, I'm sure I could eat anything, but I'm not going to. I have no soreness at all at the port site, and my other 3 incisions are barely visible. Healing well, but I think I definitely need a tiny bit more Fluid because I get hungry almost exactly every 3-4 hours.

Mine has no Fluid in it. They just place it during surgery and you come back at 3-4 weeks for first fill. I definitely need it. So far I have kept from eating bad but it won't last.....lol I want some pizza!!

My port is very prominent. I can feel it with no problem. My problem I think is that incision is perfect height that I bump it on everything. My others are healed great. This one looks good, just sore.

Mine was "primed" with 2-3 CCs. They will see exactly and perhaps add a little more on Monday. I don't want too much though because I don't want to start throwing up and all of the other horrors I keep reading about. I'm losing about half a pound a day, so I just want to be able to keep that up without feeling hungry. I ate pizza topping today…skipped the crust, but it was still pretty satisfying. Let me know how your fill goes and I'll do the same.

I definitely will! pizza topping is a good idea. Could also make like a 'crustless' pizza. I used to make it when I did low carb years ago. I put sauce and veggies and other toppings like pepperoni, banana peppers with cheese on top in a square baking dish and baked it. I need to do that again maybe.

I lost 17 lbs initially with liquid diet a week before and post op, but haven't lost any in over a week. Haven't gained any either so I guess that's good.

I'm still holding out on the fill until I get a better feel for things. I can take down Soups, burritos, and meat well but pudding, yogurt, fruit gives me trouble. I'm still losing weight so I'm not going to rush things

Just got home from my first fill. It was a piece of cake! He only put a little in (2-3cc), as he likes to increase slowly. I have to be on liquids for next 24 hrs. I don't feel any restriction with Protein Shake, but will see with real food tomorrow!!

What a surprise! I had my fill today and there were 6cc in my band already. They put the 6cc back in and added 0.5cc for a total of 6.5cc. The provider told me that the doctor noted that I did not have a large fat pad and therefore he put more in band than usual during surgery. No issues so far. I'm on liquids only for 24 hours then I can do soft foods and move to regular food if I tolerate it well. It was really quick and not very uncomfortable at all.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
