Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters

I just found out my surgery will be in July (granted my pre-op testing goes okay) SOOOOOOOOO

Here's a thread for everyone getting banded in July 07!

Does anyone have any good ideas for a neat name we could call ourselves?

Laurend, Bobberts Mom, MrsHorne and Abbey12477, best wishes for you for tomorrow. Hope everything goes smoothly for you, and you get back to the board to post your own experiences.

BTW, I forgot to tell you all that I actually LOST 4 lbs. over the weekend, just from nerves I guess. Remember, I didn't have a pre op so I wasn't really watching caloires, but I'm 4 lbs closer to goal!! Yeah. I made it to the losers bench!!!

Going to try to get some rest for the night after a short walk. Take care everyone geting banded tomorrow. My prayers are with you.

All,

It is done! I have complete my surgery today and made it back home around 3pm. I am so thankful to God and I humble bow before Him in admonition. All is going pretty well, I am sore on the left side due to the port. I have 5 incensions and they are glued together with some form of glue. I do not have a sore throat but I do have some gas. I'm taking Gas x gel melts and Maalox. It's not too bad just have to keep getting up eary hour walking around in the house. That helps reduce the gas and effectively helps it pass. It's more burps than actually anything else. Anyway, I prayed for all today's banders that God will see us through! Let me know how everyone is doing. I'll keep in touch.

Warmest Regards,

bfyneNtyme

WOW!!! I'm glad you're doing well, too. :P So well that you got to come home on the same day. :omg: Wow. You and Lynette are doing great. I wonder how BeefyIrish is doing...

:clap2:Lynette - Yeah!!!!! I am so glad everything went well for you today! It is reassuring to hear you say you aren't in a lot of pain! I hope the rest of us do as good. Take it easy and don't over do!:clap2:

:welcome: To all the Newbies. You picked an awesome group to join! We are all here for each other.

To everyone getting banded tomorrow I hope everything goes perfectly for all of you! Let us know how you are doing as soon as you can.

Chimboree - Thank you for keeping the calendar updated. It looks great!

I'M HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

Yes, My surgery started late, around 10:30 am, and they released me at 5pm. I feel great, not really any pain yet. The Dr. came in and said I was doing so good that he would let me go. I've been up walking, going to the bathroom on my own, and really have no pain yet.

I'll try to post again later, and read up on other posts from today. Just wanted to let everyone know I was home, and had the best experience I could of possible imagined.:P

Amazing!!! Congratulations Lynette. I was thinking about you all day. So happy it went so well for you.

bfyneNtyme,

We both made it home today. I'm so happy for you too. I have about the same feling, but my port is in the center chest area, under where my bra hits)

Until reading your post, I forgot I had those gas x thin strips. I've been feeling so well I haven't even used them.

Congrats on the success of your surgery. Now we just need to hear from BeefyIrish on his surgery.

Congrats bfyneNtyme!!! I'm so glad it went well for you. :clap2:

Now the losing can begin. Take it easy and God Bless.

Lynette, and bfyneNtyme....Congrats............I am glad to hear of how smooth everything went and how well you are both doing. It has give me a calmer spirit. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Bfynentyme, congrats on doing so well!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2:

You and Lynette have done so well. I hope Beefy Irish had just as good a day.

Laurend, Bobberts Mom, MrsHorne and Abbey12477 - my thoughts and prayers are with you tomorrow. Celebrate and get a good night's sleep tonight so you are ready tomorrow.

Chimboree, thanks for the update of the calendar.

Dini, Marcy, Snaggletooth and everyone else, I hope you are dong fine. Talk with you later.

Chimboree, i have had the sleep studies done before. They are not bad at all. You just have to get wired up all over your body and then sleep like you were at home. They monitor you and watch you all night. When I had mine, I bet I did not sleep 2 hours total. But they got the info they needed and I sleep with a C-Pap machine now. I have had it a couple of years and I would not give it up for anything. I am so much more rested in the morning. But maybe after I lose some weight, I will not need it anymore. I can only hope. But don't worry about that test. I cannot believe all of the testing that they do before they let you have this surgery, but if it makes it all safer and I will test all day!

Lynette and BfyneNtyme, CONGRADULATIONS!!!!!!!

First step taken and you did great! I pray that all continues to be all positive for you both. Have a restfully and joyous night. Tomorrow will be another good day.

Patti C

I have a date for July 17th with Dr. Rumbaut in Mexico I have been stuffing my face for the past 2 weeks. Instead of my BMI being 32 when I go for the surgery, it's going to be closer to 34! Any ideas? I don't any diet restrictions until the day before the surgery. Words of wisdom welcome...

That's really encouraging... two of you home the same day and doing so well! God is good!!
