Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. Welcome to all our new fellow Lucky 7'ers. Once again, feeling totally worn out from the day and have another big day tomorrow. I have my appt for my pulmonary function test and my arterial blood gases (which I know if gonna hurt!). Then I have another appt on Thurs w/my primary doc. Goodness. I feel like I'm in a whirlwind!

I will be back tomorrow to let you know how my appt went.

Sorry I haven't been as social lately. Just feeling kinda down :think...it's a combo b/w the depression and PMS...

Gnite, gang.

I just found out about this board today! My surgery date is July 3rd.

That is 13 days away.

I am on a 2wk pre op liquid diet right now, to shrink my liver so the surgeon has no trouble getting around in there.

It sucks:hungry:, but the liquid diet combined w/ excercise I'm down 5lbs.

I have an appt w/ my surgeon today, for my pre op visit. Next Tuesday I have my pre op testing.

God bless you guys, I really enjoy reading all of the posts!

:(

I am so excited 7/17 is my tenantive date - Dr's office called right now - said all they needed was my shrink evaluation - which is tomorrow and she will submit. My insurance should be no problem BC CA covers as long as medically necessary and is preformed at a Bariatric Center of Excellance - Which Desert Hospital is - she should have approval in a week.

Date could have been 7/10 but my mamo appt isn't until the 12th... I was figuring August is when i would get a date... I am so happy...

I guess as long as my shrink - colon - mamo - stress test come out ok - I am a go for the 7/17 !!!!!

I go for my pre-op dr visit 7/6 - my doctor said 2 week pre op diet - but this is only a week out so i guess that's all i will have to do which is just fine with me....

Just wanted to share my GREAT NEWS.....

Janet

Thanks Chimboree - I was lucky on my blood gas test - had a GREAT tech he found it poked me and it was done - hurt alittle after he took the needle out - I think from the pressure being applied..

Dancing2 - We have the same day and are in the same age bracket :D

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
