  1. I agree but didnt have energy too fight. It was one day prior to bbeing laidoff and insurance ending
  2. The doctor that did my original LapBand surgery (when I had insurance coverage) wants $585 for a fill or I can do a 1 yr deal for $1000 will fills (if warranted by them) every 4 - 6 weeks. Anyone know of any where that is more reasonable? I really only need one to maybe two adjustments. I need a tad removed.
  3. The first and last time a PA did my fill she poked a hole in the line to my port causeing (at MY expense) another surgrey to replace it! I will NOT let a PA do the fill any longer unless they have excellent history. Stand up for yourselves and demand someone that knows exactly what they are doing. You are paying for it. SPeaking of paying for it does anyone know of a fill clinic that is resonable in North Carolina close to Raleigh? My doc charges $585 a fill or you can do $1000 for a year with fills every 4-6 weeks as needed. I only need a reduction at this time and don't anticipate needing any more after that for a long time.
  4. HeyHon, have u had any luck with cigna? i have been fighting with them since may this yr over the 6 month deal. My band dr assures me we have what is needed so i went ahead with the banding Aug 23rd and just received notice (again!) insurance denied surgery charges.... going to start the fight all over again with them this monday. anything u can offer as to EXACTLY what they are looking for would be very much appreciated
  5. Breadlady, thank you so much for your day to day updates. The information has been wonderful and I feel i know better what to expect if/when the day comes for mine... insurance still has not come back with approval as of yet... and surgery is scheduled for Jul 5th. I am having a tubial and a endometrial ablation at the same time. I am getting very anxious and impatient. Riding an emotional rollercoaster this week. thanks to all for sharing your news with the rest of us. I does help.
  6. 5'7'' 285 lbs ( I think... throw out the scales a while back) 44.6 BMI you guys are too quick! i cannot keep up
  7. thanks for the adivse and the hellos and welcomes. my boss justed asked out of concern (stating it was none of her business).... just trying to not be to rude... i am so nervous the insurance will not approve. My doctor did not put me on a pre-diet but of course suggested losing as much weight as possible.... with all the dr's apts and stress of not knowing i have gained and lost... Chimborre I feel your pain they got me THREE times for the blood gas and had to call 'downstairs' to a WONDERFUL tech to come get it. they said 'you can come back later'... i told them they were crazy get it while i was here! how long was the wait for insurance approval for you guys?
