Went back to work today. I find that everyone here is eating and eating. I don't think I realized the constant intake. When people aren't eating they're talking about eating. No one has said I look different or anything. Which is ok by me. However the few people who know about surgery have said I look pale. Thanks. I'm ready for a nap.

@@emsgirl114, I know the feeling! Everyone here knows what I did, but most of them are guys and they've been well trained by their wives to not comment on a woman's body unless it's actively squirting blood on the carpet - then it's just a gentle suggestion that you might need a band-aid.

The food, on the other hand, is NUTS. There's always pizza and Cookies and giant 3 pound sacks of Peanut Butter M&M's and cheeseballs and...ugh. So. Much. Food. Tomorrow is our holiday potluck. If I can survive that, I can survive anything!

Jacqbult. Having similar problem Seem to have stalled at 200... just can't seem to break through to the 100s! Wah! And I also developed a sharp pain on my right side. It is basically under my main incision. They have ruled out gall bladder, thank goodness. But it is discouraging as I am already more than three weeks out (Nov. 21 surgery) and need to get back to work. The pain is minor in the morning but seems to get worse as they day goes on, as if from fatigue. Very concerned that this will delay my clearance to start working out as it is in my core, which affects everything! Good luck with your pain and your stall, which will def end, of course. Still, it is frustrating!

I go for my post op today. Going to ask about exercise. I'm still bleeding from the incision I got the infection in. So it will be interesting to see what he says about that.

I'm down from 199 to 182.2. Since I went from a band to a sleeve he said the loss would be slower and more steady for whatever. There is good and bad to that. Good maybe the change won't cause a ton of nosy questions from people I don't want to talk too. Bad is I just want to be down to goal and maintain from there. But my want it now attitude is about 80% my problem to start.

Day 2 back at work. Wish I could have just taken off till the New Years. Oh well. Next life i will be born rich skinny and gorgeous. This life I'll keep working on it.

Also stalled with a sore right side - ugh! On a high note, I found a way out of today's food extravaganza. I took my Vitamins with 6 ounces of tea this morning and promptly, violently launched them back across the kitchen. Scared to ingest anything else, I have no idea why that happened.

I am at a stall, too. For well over a week. I have actually gained 2 pounds. I go for my 2nd doctor's followup on Thurs and I don't want to disappoint him. It is frustrating knowing you are only consuming about 800 calories and you aren't loosing. In the past, this would have frustrated me and caused me to "go off my diet". The good news is the sleeve is a "tool" - - - we can't go off our diets cuz of the surgery. Sure, we can choose to put "bad" things in versus better choices, but, we are limited on space. Logically, I know this is what happens. Emotionally, we just have to trust the program.

Regarding exercise, my doctor informed that if all is well after this visit, I can start exercising and eating real foods NEXT week. I am looking forward to it. I think it will help move the scale.

hey roundisashape... I threw up my chewable bariatric Vitamins when I tried to take them the second week (I am in week four) and that is the only time I have thrown up the entire time. I can't bring myself to try again.. so I just tripled the dosage for my Gummy women's vitamins (I compared the ingredients and it is basically the same thing) and they don't bother my stomach. Saw my surgeon today and he was fine with that.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
