Hey there!! I'm 4 days post op and finally got rid of all these gas pains !!! I am still having muscle tenderness in my side and have just been breathing through it. I have been able to get my Protein in with the help of Isopure .. The coconut flavor is soo gooood! Taste like coconut macaroons. I have my post check up and staple removal on 11/3 so I'm excited for that! I do not have Facebook but I do have instagram: emmalu222 I am able to tolerate the Clear Liquids but am dragging my feet on going to full liquids because I want my stomach to have enough time to recover and the swelling to go down as much as possible. Since surgery I've lost 13.2 and my two week liquids I lost 12. Good luck to everyone !!

I got a bottle of Water while I was out running errands and forgot and took a big gulp. My stomach hurt the rest of the day lol. I don't think I'll forget again. :)

My surgeon said 20 pounds is average at 4 weeks. I dont think I will get close to 20 but I could be happy with 16, lol.

I will NEVER forget yesterday! Lol! I feel much better now. However, I will admit it was a combination of the 2 large gulps of Water and the fact that I was backed up. My NP said walking should help with the water drinking pain, but it didn't. She also told me to take some Milk of Magnesia for my other issue since it had been so long. I did that and slept for a few hours yesterday afternoon. Stomach pain was still there, but no longer felt like a stuffed pig by the evening. I feel much better today, just the tenderness where my pouch likes to try and bulge out at near one of my incisions. It's so weird lol!

Thanks for making the post op forum for we October folks. Good to read everyone's experiences. I am 15 days post op and started pureed foods yesterday. dinner didn't go well but I was able to eat half a scrambled egg with small amount of cheese for Breakfast. Thing is, I was full the rest of the day. Yesterday, was actually my first "bad" day since surgery. I started working again at home and doing chores. I was busy all day and so I couldn't just watch the clock and make sure I was drinking Water all day. Needless to say between the exercise I did in the morning and not drinking as much water I was very dehydrated and feeling it by 3:00pm. I got really frustrated because I felt trapped. I want my life back but it seems like I can't take care of my nutrition and work at the same time. Fortunately, I work at home. If I was in an office or something I have no idea what I would do. Every day we get to start over and so I have a good outlook today. I set an alarm on my phone to go off every 15 minutes just to remind me to drink. My stats: hw 272,sw 267,cw 249. Sleeved 10/13.

Had my surgery 10/21. One week out and I am on full liquids. So far only a Protein Drink, two tablespoons of chicken broth and Water today. Will try Soup later. Feeling weak but assume it us from so few calories. I have lost 10 pounds since surgery. I haven't had a bm in over a week. A little nervous about that. My pain was good until I passed some gas yesterday kind of straining. Now it feels pulled and hurting again. Scared I had popped a staple at first, but surely it would take more than that. Looking forward to more food choices.

Had my surgery on Oct 9th. I am down 15 lbs since surgery. I have a lot of pity party days. Anyone wanna join? I am sure things will get better. I puree Soups and have found I am craving spices, so I am adding garlic powder and black pepper. makes me have the feeling that I am having "real" food.

I also am having hunger attacks and stomach growling. I have been told its all in my mind. BS its in my stomach…or what is left of my stomach.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
