I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this hospital! My brother, and two women at my work, had their weight loss surgeries done there.

Did anyone else go through ALSA and have their surgery there??

Well, we only had the nutritionist as no one from psych showed up to speak at the class!

Hey sharon. Just got on this site and saw all your posts. Sorry! I was sitting way in the back. Last row in a grey sweater. I was secretly glad he didnt show up last night. Lol I was sleepy. I took lots of notes last night. Very informative class.

As for me, I'm 8 weeks post op and down 37 pounds, 68 pounds overall. I lost about 60 pounds last year on my own, but then gained half of it back.

Congrats! All I have left to do is have my PCP correct my weight loss form and then ill be submitting to Insurance. I see my doc tomorrow

Wow I'm so jealous! I'm sitting at the hospital right now waiting on my upper gi. Next month is psych eval and colonoscopy. Just starting the six months of medical visits.

Hi Crystall88, I had surgery on the 18th and went in on Dec 24th for post-op. At this appointment I was down 14 pounds since my surgery date. I'm feeling pretty good so far. I'm back at work next Monday and not too sure how I will feel after a full day.

Turned in my last form today! Now I just sit back and wait for approval and a date.

I don't know what sort of job you have, but I hope you have a great first week back! i have a sedentary job, so I was fine. My boss continues to ask me how I am doing and feeling, I think PART of the reason is because a former co-worker had WLS too about 5 years ago (gastric bypass though) and she was constantly ill.
