    How many calories a day?

I eat between 700-900 calories a day, and drink 64-70 ounces of Water.

    Taking the fizz out

For me personally, sugar LOVES me and loves to attach itself to me when I consume too much of it. Sure, the carbonation may not upset your pouch, but the sugar/sugar alcohols in the "diet" soda will slow down your progress.

    This is hard....

I thought I'd NEVER be able to get in more than 24 ounces of water a day, but I'm 4 months out and I am finally getting in 60 per day, along with 2-3 protein shakes.
  6. I plan to ask at my first post-op appointment but, I was just wondering if anyone might possibly have an idea if I can take this?? I'm heading back to work next week and after being off for 2 weeks, I know I'm going to have a hard time going to bed at 7 pm. I have to be up by 3 am to get ready for work, and be there by 4:30. Thanks in advance
  7. What do you do to keep Her clean and trim?? Wax? Shave? nothing?

October 2014 sleevers check in please!

Hi all, I'm 13 weeks post op and I've lost a little over 50 lbs!

    ALL IN ONE DAY!

    Amazing, congratulations!!

    Hmmmmmm...

I'm cheap when it comes to jeans. I refuse to spend more than $10 on a pair of jeans right now. With tops, I am a little less careful of the price, because once they become too big, I can just give them to my mom.

    Constipation

My go-to are prunes. I usually will eat about 5. Several people here also like Smooth Move Tea. I haven't tried it yet, but I've seen it on ebay for less than $7

    Chia Seeds

I would try some since it's almost been a month. When I went for my week 3 post-op check up, I was telling the Nurse Practitioner that I had been constipated for about 4 days and she told me to add chia seeds to Greek yogurt.

    Aspirational shopping

Phew, thanks ladies!! There are people who give me a hard time because I'm still a fan, but I let it roll down my back at this point. I can't wait until I can fit into that tracksuit!!

    Aspirational shopping

OKAY....please don't laugh or roll your eyes at me, BUT... I am a big big Britney Spears fan. I'm 26 and have been a fan since I was about 11. So, in 2009 when she was on tour, they had tracksuits for sale at her shows, and my brother (who is my concert partner) bought me one. It was 200 freakin dollars, and i have NEVER worn it because the biggest size they had was X-Large so obviously it wasn't going to fit a 300+ person. I STILL have that tracksuit and I cannot wait until the day I will be able to wear it. The great thing is that we're only 4 days into the new year, so i KNOW that the day that tracksuit will fit me, is going to be THIS year!

October 2014 sleevers check in please!

10/31 Sleeve patient here.. I am down 41 pounds since my surgery, and 72 pounds overall. I lost 60 pounds between March and September of 2013, totally unrelated to my surgery, but because I found the motivation to do it. Then of course I regained nearly half of it, so my surgery has helped me to RE-LOSE it, plus more!
  16. I don't eat a big variety of things but when i do it is tuna or chicken or avocado.

    Bread

I am 9 weeks post op and have NOT had bread and although I have a desire for it (like a tuna sandwich or BLT), I am being good about staying away from it.

    Popcorn my most favorite snack!

Popcorn has been my go-to snack, I have had it several times.
  19. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show! HOWEVER, I hated Penny's episode and as I sat there watching it, I LOATHED her by the end of it. She did not try one bit and the fact that she had the audacity to look at Dr. Now in his face and say "look, you can see my collarbone", after regaining some of the measly 35 pounds she lost??? So full of shit. I can't wait for the new season to start!!

    Should I be proud or?

33 lbs is amazing, congratulations xx
  21. I take one Centrum Complete chewable Multivitamin. I will bite into it, eat some plain greek yogurt, then the last half I plop onto another spoonful of yogurt. Works great! At the beginning, I made the mistake of taking it with Water, but my throat felt really scratchy afterwards, to where Id start coughing.

    feeling amazing!

    Amazing, congratulations!
  23. Congratulations Rosemarie!! I don't know what sort of job you have, but I hope you have a great first week back! i have a sedentary job, so I was fine. My boss continues to ask me how I am doing and feeling, I think PART of the reason is because a former co-worker had WLS too about 5 years ago (gastric bypass though) and she was constantly ill.
  24. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this hospital! My brother, and two women at my work, had their weight loss surgeries done there. Did anyone else go through ALSA and have their surgery there??
