Anyone Banded Who is in thier 20's

Recommended Posts

I'm 25 and just got my band on 3/5/2007. My problem is I can't seem to find too many people in my area, boston-providence. Anyone? I've had two fills so far, and I'm starting to feel restriction. I have 2.4cc's in a 4cc band!

I'm 26, I'm just wondering if anyone my age is from washington state??? The youngest I met on here is 18. I would have had my banding done sooner but it took my insurance 2 1/2 years to approve.

Hey there, I'm 26 but I was banded when I was 25. I didn't realize how many young people their where around here! I haven't had much luck with my band so far but hopefully that will change. I'm moving next month from Portugal back to Florida.

omg! MIMIN, you've lost almost 100 lbs. in about 8 months? that's wild.

Yep, coming up on 8 months soon. Most of it came off in the first 5 months, the last 2.5 have been very slow in compairison. It's kind of frustrating sometimes but I am happy with the results!

Hi everyone---

Im 27 and was banded on 05/14/07. So I am still a new bandster, but I cannot wait until next year around this time to hopefully be reposting my new weight at goal. I figure a year is not so out of reach to lose at least 100 lbs. We will see. Good luck to you all!!!

LOL actually when I had my psych evalutation the psychologist asked me how long I thought it would take to lose the weight. I said I thought it would take a couple of years or so if I lost at an average of 2lbs per week. Well he told me not to be surprised if I lost a lot faster than that, that I just might reach goal in a year. I was thinking, of course "he doesn't know how slowly the weight comes off". Well he was right I guess. Two months out and down fifty pounds already- so now I'm thinking I just might lose it all in one year. Probably less than two years anyway.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
