Hey everyone, I haven't posted in a while and I just wanted to say hi to everyone.

Kity, I hope your weekend with Susanne goes well. Sending some positive thoughts your way!

Eddie, congrats on the fill! Woo hoo!

Dee, be well and let us know how everything goes.

Juli, I know we all hit plateaus. Keep working out and eating right and your body will submit!

Things are going pretty well since the surgery. This week I've finally started to feel like myself again, I think being on mushies has given me more energy. I'm down almost 20 lbs. since surgery and I feel great! I can't really see the difference yet, but my husband says he does (of course, he could just be saying that to be nice). But a friend that I saw yesterday said she thought I had lost weight and she doesn't know about the band, so that made me feel really good.

Have a great weekend, kids. I'm going to clean the house and relax...

Hello Family~

Well today starts 2 weeks of madness. I leave today to go to school for 1 week in La Verne (80 miles from home). The good thing is I will see Susanne, for the first time since June 12...the bad news is we are not getting along too well. So, instead of being excited, I am nervous. We've had some pretty ugly phone conversations lately, but I am trying to stay positive. I hope now that she is not at work on her exercise, she can relax w/ her mom. I will only see her for 2 hours today, but I guess I'll take what I can get.

We are leaving for our vacation next weekend...I hope we are back on track by then. Anyway, that is the plan. Sorry this post was so disjointed, there is just so much going on. I'll try to clarify later.

Peace

I certainly understand. If you recall, Sean and I were having a protracted knock-down-drag-out a couple of weeks ago. :D It will get better. Just remember, we're all here for you.

Hi Family~

Well, after not seeing each other for 2 1/2 weeks, and being very stressed from her job...we finally got to see each other today! I was so nervous driving in (about 80 miles from home), she and I were not getting along the last few days. But once I saw her...all the shit went away. We had lunch, went up to Padua (this beautiful little spot in the mountains) and we held hands, drove around looking at houses, and then I dropped her off at the airport so she can go home to Phoenix to see her mom. She and I said that part of the stress was from the absence...

anyway, thanks for letting me vent this morning, and Eddie, xoxo for the kind words. I love this thread and my "family" here.

Have a great weekend, I will pop in between assignments.

Pamela,

I'm glad things are better. That's so hard. I was thinking about you two.

Whew...now you can concentrate on school work.

I am in the hotel room, waiting for my friend to finish her 25 page paper, so we can go to the free happy hour. I was playing around w/ my cell, and took these pix...thought I'd show you all. They look much better on the phone screen (smaller).

xoxo

Mitch, welcomeB.gif !

Pamela, hubba hubba! And you have a gorgeous smile!!!!

I guess I just noticed that you live in PS, or maybe it just hit me...our very very dear friends Tim and Andy live there and own a fantastic B and B on East Ramon (333bnb.com). We love PS and hope to come again this fall. I'll have to post a Halloween pic from a couple years ago when we were in town. We all dressed as various characters from the Flintstones.

Hello my little gay lovlies.

Who has plans for the weekend? I don't.

I've got Zoe this weekend, so of course we will be at the pool. I have laundry to wash, a yard to tend (which I HATE doing) and homework to read. Aside from that no plans! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

That will be fantastic.

So, I'm on a plateau. It's been 10 days and I've not lost an ounce overall. I hate this. I see the doctor on July 9th and might get a fill then if this weight doesn't move.

And yeah, I've had some high calorie days...I'm hoping to dig a little deeper today and the weekend to see if I can make the wieght budge, but sakes alive, I thought it'd be second nature already.

Thanks for listening to me bitch, I know there are others on the board who are dealing with bigger frustrations than a plateau, it seems a little petty on my part.

Take care everyone,

XO

I for one am glad to hear someone bitch, so I don't feel so all alone! I'm doing about the same, only nothing has moved for a month! yet I know I've no one to blame but me cuz I canceled my 1st fill. I had good reason at the time, but I really didn't think it would be this hard without it. anyway, that will all be better soon I hope. got my apt for Monday!:clap2: I'm not sure it will ever be second nature, not after a lifetime of getting here. But, maybe, we can always hope. As far as the weekend goes, same old, same old.:cry work, work, work....that better get better soon too! Just need to sell my house , get rich and retire or :bandit. My wife is anxious to get on with "our" life without the added stresses of necessary additional people around (renters :D) and we continue with that goal. It's our main sorce of conflict. anyway, that is a long boring story not worth getting into.

Just want you all to know , that even though I just found you all, you do all feel like family, and although I may not always write, I do check in often and am SOooooo... glad you are all here  to all.

Pamela, you gorgous thing, thanks for the picture!!! I got to be sure my honey (all 108 lbs. of her) doesn't see that!

Happy weekend all!

Eddie, you think you can help this person out? I saw this and thought you might miss it. I know you're in Jacksonville.

Thanks Juli! You were right, I hadn't seen it. I posted a reply to the thread.

Sean and I were in St Pete for their Pride festivities this weekend. We had our motorhome set up in their street festival as a Rainbow RV booth, then we had a couple of RRV "floats" in the parade. The first one was an Airstream trailer (the stainless steel kind), then the second one was a small equipment trailer that we decked out as a miniature campsite, complete with pink camouflage tent, fake campfire and real marshmallows I pretended to be roasting. It was a lot of fun. What wasn't fun was the protesters. I'd never been protested before, so it was an interesting experience. There were about 15 men from a Baptist church somewhere in Georgia (probably where Deliverance was filmed) there with signs (Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve....how original :tired) and bullhorns calling us all sodomites and telling us we were going to hell. There was one of them that I can just about guarantee was as queer as a football bat. It was ironic, but sad. Anyway, about 4 floats behind us there was a fire truck that just turned on the siren and drowned them out! They got a lot of applause and cheers from the parade-goers. On the flip side, the community was very supportive. There were a ton of Str8 families along the parade route, many with picnic lunches set up between the sidewalk and street. And they weren't just at the parade - there were just as many at the street festival! It was totally amazing! That would NEVER happen in Jacksonville. Hell, the protesters probably wouldn't show up anyway because they would be too confused - Jacksonville's parade is in July and their Pride festival is in August! And I just found out that St Augustine's is going to be in October this year! :faint: Silly me, I thought Pride Month was in June to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall riots...

Ok, bitch session over.

Did anyone do anything fun and exciting this weekend? How about plans for the 4th? We're just going to throw something on the grill, but we're going camping again this weekend (for fun this time).

Eddie,

Thanks for the holler back.

Protesters are too much. Here in Columbus, the dykes on bikes (hubba hubba) put themselves between the protesters and the parade and rev their engines to drown them out.

PRIDE not in June? Seems down right ignorant...but whatev...

XO

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
