Any sleevers in Northern NJ?

HELLO!!!

Is there anyone going for the sleeve or has gotten the sleeve up here in North NJ? I'm looking at January, and I started my journey about 4 weeks ago with Dr. Paragi.

Can't believe u don't have time! What hospital? Aren't u using Paragi??

I saw him mid dec got date and time for procedure. Just call office or him u know they get busy and forget sometimes :)

@@dar81 Really? That's so weird. I'm going to get it done at St. Barnabas. I called the office and someone told me to just wait for the hospital to call me. I'm going to call the office again in a few hours if I don't get a call.

Def call back cause mine is at st b as well and it's been scheduled for a month I bet if u call st b registration they can tell u like I said his office is u organized but he's supper nice. Please keep me posted once ur out and up to it!!! So very nervous!!!

@@dar81 The hospital called! My surgery is tomorrow at 4pm! I'm so happy and emotional that I'm even crying. Happy tears of course! This is what I've been waiting for. Thanks for your concern! I'll let you know :)

@jennifer. Good luck!! Be patient with yourself the first few days may be rough but they will pass. I was sleeves 12/9 outpatient. This first month was a long one but I'm so happy to be on the other side.

Hope all is well! Keep us posted on how u r doing.

Thank you @@JustJaime5 you're right, it is hurting so bad when I get up and down but t could be worse pain for sure so I can't complain too much. What's hard is being so thirsty and I basically have cotton mouth. I can't wait to drink water!

????hungry

and

????headache

how did u guys get thru the pre op diet??

@dar. My dr actually didn't have a Preop diet. I know that's really rare. As long as we stay at or below our original weigh in I didn't have to do anything.

How much longer do u have on it? All I can say is it's good prep for the first 3 weeks after surgery which I found extremely hard. I was begging my dr to let me go from the full liquid to purée phase at my week and a half visit. I didn't think I could choke down another Soup, pudding or yogurt!

It will be the first in a long road of really hard efforts. (All worth it) For those people who say weight-loss surgery is the easy way out have no idea what they're talking about.

You're doing a great job though stick with it and it will all be worth it. Just think the more you lose now the less you have to lose later

And keep drinking more fluids. Sometimes headache is a sign of dehydration

Hey guys! My surgeon is Dr. Trivedi at Advance Laparoscopic Associates and my surgery is scheduled for the 19th of this month at Hackensack Hospital. I'm actually waiting to hear back from them in regards to any preop diet, I'm a little worried because I was not given any prior instructions on this. Anybody else familiar with this situation? ????

My co-worker had surgery by Dr. Ewing from that practice and did not have a pre-op diet.

@justjamie5

I had my suregery pre op was tough and I had to do it twice cause the "blizzard" my surgery was rescheduled

I'm down 28 pounds which is good surgery was 12 days ago but the pain under the incision he took stomach outta if horrendous!! I've had 11 other medically needed surgeries and never took more than three or four days to recoup this is not good the pain is burning and stabbing and I stil cannot lay on my sides and the pain goes from front right to back I can't bend it's bad

Dr said it's all internal bruising because he tried to keep incision small and pull thru but I think if rather but larger cut and less pain I have kids to tend to and I can do crap but cry moan and bitch that Elective suregery is stupid

I'm not a negative person just so over feeling down I can't even be happy w weight lose due to pain

Just wanna get to gym and feel well
