Want to throat punch my husband

  • Popular Post

I'm on day 4 of my liquid diet and on our way to my pre-op appt and he decides to go to McDonald's drive thru to get him breakfast. I told him he'd better think ahead next time and eat at home before we leave. I will get my revenge though cause I will be starting puréed foods while he's on his liquid diet. Haha Not the same as McDonald's but I'm going to pretend it is dang delicious! lol

I get it! Some men are secure in the relationship when their wife's are over weight, at least mine is. Now, at the thought of us being in shape, it scares them a little. Any time I would loose some weight he would COMPLETELY try to sabotage my diet. I don't think on purpose. Hang In there, ur not alone. This is a great forum to vent and know some dysfunctional behaviors are pretty normal... Lol

On the way home he jokingly said that he was going to go pick up a Big Mac. I told him I would seriously hurt him if he did that. Actually I'd probably just attack the Big Mac. Haha Only 11 more days!!

I am having surgery on 9/15/14 also. Best of luck and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thanks BellaLuce4, you're so right. Although I don't think he's doing it on purpose, he has expressed he's worried I'm going to leave him when I'm thin. Only because he's heard the horror stories of that kind of thing happening and his buddy at work keeps teasing him about it. I would never do that. :wub:I value our vows and have no doubt God put us together. :wub: Besides, if I haven't left him in the 15 yrs we've been married, after all the crap he's put me through then there's no chance I'd leave him now to be with another man. :P Hilarious! :lol: Why would I want to leave him for another sack of issues? :blink::huh:Lol

Funny Men :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Be strong honeybunz, the goal is insight.;) Each day gets a little easier. They went to one of my favorite restaurants last night for a family birthday. The thought of that food has been making my mouth water all week. I knew if I went I'd be sticking my tongue on everything.:P By the time the day to go got here I was able to easily decline and send them on without me. I know after a couple of months I'll be able to attend those get togethers again no problem. B):lol:

so true ! wish I could just sleep n wake up in a month... lol

So you were dealing with a 16 year old while going thru the horrific caffeine free pre-op diet, huh? Really.....I don't know if it could get any worse than that! ;) I've got two kids, 20 and 23, and the two of them often make me want to reach for a drink, which I've also given up along with the caffeine. This.... getting our lives on track..... is no easy feat! BTW.....I'm glad you didn't get a felony along the way.

I haven't gotten to the pre-op stage but I can feel your pain with the caffeine part I just said that to my husband that I need to start kicking it out and we have a 21 yr.old,20 yr old,19 yr old 2 18 yr old and a 5 yr old I need my coffee also.

I dont have any kids just a husband who eats whatever he wants. Im trying to lose weight for my next follow up appt. i have had the hardest time losing on my own. Im highly allergic to ALL artificial sweeteners and can only tolerate a little stevia before it also tears my stomach up so i find it hard to try light and diet foods cause its in everything! Even light salad dressings! Uggh

That stinks Danielle! I hope you find something that works! Good luck and best wishes to you!!

@flipper20. Drinking my delicious 20 ounce cup of coffee every morning before I even saw my three children is how I started my day. Thank you lord! My job is dealing with people's problems and issues all day long. Yeah.......caffeine kept me smiling and pleasant all day long. Now that I no longer drink it I guess my sunny disposition is all on it's own.

You got that right! :)
