Hey! I'm having the sleeve at Abington hospital January 5th!!

Dr Bonanni is doing mine. Love love him! I'm so excited and wish it was sooner, but hanging in till then!!

hang in there . It will be worth the wait :)

I'm scheduled for December 16th with Dr. Chung at Capital Health Hopewell.

Recovery was a Breeze! You are in great hands. Mabey I'll see you at one of the support group meetings when its all said and done. Good Luck.

I hope so. I'm getting very nervous. I'm planning on attending those support groups!

Hi, anyone of you guys self paying? I'd love to know the out of pocket cost for the greater Philadelphia area.

Well my bill from my sleeve was around $200,000. But I definitely believe they charge insurance companies more because I cannot fathom someone paying that much out of pocket.

I am having my done at the Barix clinics just north of Philly, Surgery is next Wed. the 12th. I am in my third day of the 10 day liquid diet. I really like the Barix Clinic, I feel really comfortable there. This liquid diet thing is tough but, it will be worth it.

That seems awfuly high mine is only about 30,000 through insurance I will only pay about 1000 out of pocket.

I had mine done at Penn by Noel Williams. I'm just hitting 7 weeks. Surgical experience and hospital stay could not have been easier. I had a private room and felt well taken care of by the hospital staff.

@@TJBab good for you! Good luck and I can't wait to hear how things went for you! Sending prayers!! Get some rest after but when you can post! ????

Good luck to everyone of you who are scheduled to have surgery or who have recently had surgery. I had my gastric sleeve surgery/gallbladder removal surgery on 4/8/14 by Dr. Aley Tohamy at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Dr. Tohamy has since relocated to Crozer Hospital in Chester, PA. He is the best!!!! My surgery and recovery went well. I haven't had any complications from surgery. I stick to my plan for the most part but I've had days where I ate things I wasn't supposed to eat (not very often). Please listen to your tummies because it will let you know which foods it likes and those it doesn't like. I'm now 7 months out and down a total of 71 pounds. I have 18 pounds more to lose to reach my goal weight.

Again, I wish you all the best :)

Thank you so much Ms. Brown. I wish you much success on your journey as well.
