Going on to 4 weeks on Tuesday. But lately I've been getting dizzy. Is that normal? If any one can answer this ? It would be helpful.

I'm also about 4 wks out. I saw my doc last week and told him I'm often dizzy and get light headed when I stand up, he said it was likely from too little Water and/or too little Protein.

@@sunflowerchild is right. I went through this with chemo and now. It has gotten better with more fluids. I thought I was getting enough by my body needed more. I wish it could just send me a text instead of making me dizzy. LOL

I am 3.5 months out and still get dizzy often when I stand up. I get 60-70 grams of Protein a day and even days when I get all my Water in it still happens. I wonder if it's just because I don't eat very much.

Yea I do feel that I don't get enough Water I try. But it's very hard. So sunflower what stage of eating are you on. Some suggestions cause I'm kind of bored what I'm eating.

I'm cleared for normal eating now so I don't know how much I can sympathize with the food thing. Have you tried the ricotta bake? That was one of the best things I had on my previous stage. I also really enjoyed turkey pepperoni baked with mozzarella cheese (obviously make sure you chew very very well). I also found some really great recipes online that you can make with Greek yogurt.

Jesswls, you are absolutely right!!! More than likely, the dizziness is due to low blood sugar from not getting adequate calories/nutrition.

Jessicavtec1, I hope your dizziness clears up soon. I know what that feeling is like, and it's not exactly fun :(

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
