African American vsgers!
Honestly it's a lot easier than I thought it would be. I never meet my protein and fluid goals but I get pretty close. But a little over 60 pounds lost so far. I still can't believe it. I can't work out like most people do due to a stroke and some brain damage issues. But if I stay on track I should have lost 100 pounds at six months. It's nice to have a waist again. But a pain that my pants are always falling down. I still won't buy any new clothes because I know that they won't fit after a few weeks. I haven't had a lot of hair shedding but I need to deep condition more since my hair seems drier than it did before. And before surgery invest in a good scar cream and gas x strips. Lol

African American vsgers!
I was sleeved June 23rd. Glad that you are feeling better.

Bad breath
It from the high protein, ketogenic diet. Some people just have it up to six weeks after surgery. Some longer. Check out Biotene or TheraBreathe mouth wash.

Fuzzy Tongue?
Do you have white patches in your mouth? If so it may be thrush. I hope you get it figured out. I hate it when a wild hair gets in my mouth. Gross

Anyone else need a TARDIS?
Hello sweetie! (I am a giant nerd) If I had a TARDIS I'd be hanging out with River Song making the Daleks regret they met us. LOL Now I'll put my nerd aside and say I totally agree with you. At over two months out I get that way. Then my husband reminds me that most people can't lose what I have in a year. Baby steps. Now and focus on what you will be able to do after. That's what kept me from getting myself all frazzled.

Dizziness
@@sunflowerchild is right. I went through this with chemo and now. It has gotten better with more fluids. I thought I was getting enough by my body needed more. I wish it could just send me a text instead of making me dizzy. LOL

Family support....
My mom is the same way with me. My husband and father called her on it. She still has her moments that I want to hit her with a chair. But I have learned to ignore it. While I am bettering myself she still at times is holding her self back by acting the way she does. I say learn from what she does and use it as an example on how not to act. That's what I do. But congrats on making the decision of getting the surgery.

Caffiene Free Coffee or with Caffiene?
Try cacao powder. I mix it in my decaf and I am weird for sound after that. LOL No caffeine in it. Or try teecinno. It has chicory root which works a lot like cacao.

Struggling with excercise
And that doesn't include my actual workout I have around noon. But this helped a lot early on and it's a habit now.

Struggling with excercise
What helped me and what I continue to do is while watching tv I exercise during the commercial break. I incorporate lunges, squats, push ups and hand weights. There is about 10-15 minute commercial breaks in a hour long show. So if you start watching tv at 7 and finish watching at ten you've gotten in about 30 minutes.

Burping and fullness
It's normal. I was told two things when comes to hiccups. One is to slow down a bit more. Even when I took the amount of time it was specified it still happened. And second it's a sign that you are full. Another sign of fullness is that your nose may run. Yucky. I hated that at the stage you are now. LOL But yep. All normal.

Surgery date 10/6
I second guessed myself the week of surgery. My husband told me to think of the things I want to do that isn't possible because of my weight and that is the reason why I decided to get sleeved. I told myself that over and over. Even after surgery when the honeymoon period was over. Since the surgery I don't need my cane, wheelchair or walker and it take a lot to get me tired. Compared to what it was when I first met on March 31 of this year. Just think of the small victories at a month in. Best decision I have made. That and my husband. Make sure your support system is there to smack you on the butt when need be. Lol Or come on here and we'll smack you too. Best of luck to you both.

Keep the dress? Yay or nay?

I just noticed that you were sleeved a day after I was. But I worked my way to 100. Starting at 50. I was sore the day after. Lol
