Hi everyone!! This is my first post & I'm looking for October surgery buddies. I'm very excited about the surgery. I've gotten my psych clearance, scheduled my sleep study, nutrition classes and upper endoscopy. My date is October 14th. Btw, anyone here from Jersey? Look forward to making friends w everyone!

Has anyone else signed up with insurenutrition? I just heard back from them today and my insurance approved for them to send me four cases of protein shakes, bariatric vitamins and scar cream monthly.

Wow, really?! That's so cool! How long did it take to hear back?

Less than a week, anything extra covered by insurance is awesome. It's definately worth a try. My surgeons office wouldn't sign off on the scripts because they want you to buy their vitamins and shakes. I had them fax the script to my PCP and he signed right off and they are shipping out right away.

I have an Anthem BCBS PPO, it's definitely worth a try whichever plan you have though.

I'm so frustrated! I only got in 21 grams of protein today and I seriously can not eat/drink another thing! Protein prefers / drinks make me sick now and I just don't know what to do

El, I'm sorry that you're having a rough time! Would you mind sharing what you ate today? What food stage are you in?

El, what week are you?

Also adding more water to those protein drinks help me a lot.
